  1. here are the same stands on youtube
  2. the laser logo is so well made -sure would have liked to know how these were made -
  3. very nice set - sure must sound great
  4. the old forum has a whole lot of great technical informatuin that seems to not be accessible - or is it possible to access the information -
  5. I've lived in a Farm House for most of my life. When the crops come off, the mice come running for the house! They sell electronic Hypersonic noise makers that plug in the wall sockets. Haven't seen a mouse or found any evidence of a mouse in over 15 years! A lot cheaper and a lot less nasty than having a cat in the house. Next excuse for having a cat in the house, because being a mouser don't cut it! Roger Next excuse for not liking cats; that one don't cut it? Scared of a little pu55y. a while ago -an elderly woman was in her garden when a pack of pit bullls rushed her yard -guess who defended the old lady - http://www.wcsh6.com/video/597190269001/1/Cat-saves-elderly-woman-from-pit-bulls
  6. a serial number must be checked based on the correct model number - the tag says RC62 - The serial number is 96857413- - it is not a RC62 II serial no 96857413- we can read the tag very clearly - -
  7. They look like they came out of the box - really nice - I am too far away for these , someone looking for a pristine set would really like these -
  8. - what kind of tube system was installed originally -
  9. how does an Eminence speaker compare to the EV LINEUP of the same years as far as quality sound - if some of these were 4 and 8 ohms - would an EV or JBL be a superior product - I am definitely not mentionning a high end TAD which is priced out of reach - also I own -k22EF -k33E-k43E-K42E - and the k24-k28 which may be asian products - as I dont see the E designation -
  10. amazing for such an inexpensive apt 50 motor - versus Beyma cp21 - yoiu can buy 4 apt 80 tweeters for 115$ - The CT125 is NOT an Eminence driver. The original APT tweeter was not an Eminence drive but Polish made and sold by Eminence then Eminence figured they could make their own and increase their profit and the popularity dropped. Bob has the original Polish company build his CT125. Clearly you get what you pay for. Best regards Moray James. the new apt 50 is not bad at all - as a matter of tact the graphs are pretty good and very comparable to the old driver -there was a batch that was not good but the later productions were just as good --
  11. sounds like you may have fried the amplifier or the power supply - the components can be replaced -electrical smell can also entail that a part has shorted - it is better to unplug it and avoid using it as this can cause a fire - better be safe -
  12. The guy replaced the old tube stuff and a set of big array speakers with this nonsense. Here is a picture of the old array speakers. The new small pro speakers are in the place these were, and not even positioned very well (down some, but not toed in. if you had pictures of the old stuff , you can look it up and see where -how - and what there was initially and evaluate what has to be added to balance the sound - the old sound equipment may have been exellent because it was designed for the church by a true technician versus the last installation which is clearly not adequate for a church that size - experience , and more experience is the key here - you can learn a lot from the old installation that was so well adapted for the prayer hall -
  13. you always do things the right way so we all trust in your wisdom - God Bless -
  14. the k43 is a 4ohms woofer - never heard of a 16ohms k43 - do you have any pictures and did you take a DCR reading with an ohmmeter - You are correct about the K-43Es I own. They are sitting in the barn and it has been several years since I have messed with them. I used to own 5 MWM double bins and 4 MWM single bins along with all my TSCM crap, the KP-600s and other Motengator pieces. Michael Colter helped me load the MCM stuff out of here a while back. This still does not affect the rest of my post to the O.P. Roger I hope that these are not in a very cold barn -subzero weather I would think that the cold can affect the speaker - or is it that the wood can help seal the woofer -
  15. as a matter of fact - I always was told that the thicker ones were the best ones - we know hear of the contrary - thanks
  16. You would want to see a klipsch parts codification number - once you open the speaker and read the parts numbers -model etc - then you can call klipsch parts 800tel number -the guys there will quickly know if it is a counterfit as these guys are trained and know of all the frauds out there - but imho Klipsch has done wonders in protecting their brand from copies and fakes - your speaker has a serial number at the rear of the tag - that serial number can be verified in seconds by klipsch -
  17. amazing for such an inexpensive apt 50 motor - versus Beyma cp21 - yoiu can buy 4 apt 80 tweeters for 115$ -
  18. the jeep is the real winter car - these can go anywhere
  19. the only way ro really be sure is to unscrew the bezel and remove the speakers - these should be tagged by klipsch to be original -
  20. Used a poly brush for the clear coat (6 coats). not familiar with the spray on clear coat? I'll have to look into that. One day, there's not doubt I'll miss these guys... But getting married this summer and owning 5 some sets of speakers, and moving into a small 2 bedroom apartment, I gotta cut it down to 1! And I've decided to stick with my B&W 803N's... Plus down the road, I really wouldn't mind doing this again! Or even building from scratch. I had a lot of fun with this project, but for now, I'll let someone else enjoy them the spraying of the clear gives it a miror like glass finish -
  21. yeah- I misread Colters remark (you can tell by the K79 tweeter horn)-
