  1. I'm not sure what brand I used, either Gorilla or 3M I think. Either way they are all pretty much the same composition. Ironically I used it to repair an RB-5's tweeter magnet that had broken during shipping. It's still holding great years later and those things are not light, relatively speaking of course, but particularly as compared to the pegs/grilles themselves.
  2. There are plastic glues that come as a two part process, each half is used on separate pieces of the broken plastic. A chemical reaction causes molecular bonding, it works very well and is relatively inexpensive at approx $3-6.
  3. Joe-You looking at getting those Oppo headphones that just came out? Good luck with your sale.
  4. It would appear that your estimation of condition may vary slightly from the rest of us. I believe it would be fair to say that even without OCD, no one would ever consider "a few corner dings", "woofer damage" as descriptions that fit into the MINT category, on here or craigslist or otherwise. To me it appears that you have woofer damage on at least one if not two, as well as dust cap damage on two. The dust cap damage may be what you're referring to when you say "woofer damage". If that is the case then you may be missing a lot more that it also very obvious to see. It would be helpful if you could post more close up and higher quality pics. Best of luck in your sale.
  5. Looking forward to hearing my first pair of DeanG crossovers. I bet! They're looking great so far and I too am excited for your impressions as an un-biased listener.
  6. That won't work in the room that they're in but nothing's to say that I can't dolly them around the house. I was driving around this morning doing errands with my wife and the subject of speaker placement came up. it was actually started by my wife. We're going to take a fresh eye at the space we have available and look at possibly moving some things around. We're pretty limited though. I'm at 15 speakers and three subs right now and that's just what's inside the house. Hehe, I'm at 17 speakers and 4 subs, inside the house. 7 more in the garage I'm sure that we're both whooped by some on here though!
  7. Ha. Spend some money on the wife, giving your obsession a break is a good thing!
  8. I agree. Would love to find another RSW-15 locally.I saw you have the Cherry finish and was curious how they looked so I searched Google images for Klipsch Cherry RSW-15 and recognized a TON of photos that I have posted to the forums. LOL That's really funny.
  9. Nice! I'll keep preachin' the good Klipsch word. RSW-15's are very hard to beat when taking into account these two factors; Performance, Looks (WAF
  10. Yes, Seymour makes great products, that I personally enjoy. I haven't viewed anything on the 4K screen, but then again, I haven't even viewed anything in 4K at all, lol. The material is very easy to work with, however. I built mine in an hour or so by myself with no problem at all. I'm not really super handy with wood or anything but this is simple enough I feel that most could take it on with ease. Measure twice, cut once My Seymour XD screen material for an 115" was around $325/shipped, after being angle cut by them for $25 (reduces moire, but requires more raw material). Wood, hardware, and felt for the borders, cost around $85 total. The price that I paid for everything was actually getting pretty close too what Seymour would have charged if they had built it, and sent it to me for me to assemble. Guess I didn't think that one through real well, but in the end I definitely did save a few bucks and the experience was fun
  11. Didn't you just sell some 61's a few weeks ago? Lol. Funny how things go sometimes.
  12. You should be mad at yourself, very mad. In fact, so mad, that just to punish yourself, you're going to consider selling me those Twin RSW's......
  13. Actually, I can hear the difference. It's a very distinct hollow sound that my wallet makes, each time that I reach into it, after said "super duper" purchase
  14. "Willing to fly to your place"-For a several hundred dollar speaker? Hahaha, that's a first. Have you figured in all of the other inherent costs associated with travel? Cabs/Car rental, Gas, Lodging, Food. Sounds ridiculous in theory..and application. You would be driving up your costs exponentially, irregardless of the free flight. Thanks for the laugh though
  15. My settings are very similar to yours, using Audyssey XT32. Give or take a few feet on the surrounds, most likely because your room is larger than mine and/or I sit closer to my surround speakers. I tend to listen to a lot of music on All Channel Stereo during parties. I run a 7.2 and even while doing so (all channel stereo) at very high volumes, my woofers are barely moving. I fear the capabilities
  16. Awesome! Despite being a day late on this myself, I am super excited that you have sold it finally. It looks like a fine piece and I'm sure that the new owner will be really happy with this
  17. Keep an eye on eBay. I feel like I've seen one on there more than once.
  18. Wheres the .1? I'm missing the sub in this equation, but agree that 800-1k is good.
  19. I started it because Craigslist stuff goes very fast and if you know something was on Craigslist it would be easier IMO to find... Plus it keeps the down the thread count that you have to look through to find it. InTeReStiNg theory :/ I still prefer seeing these posted in ALERTS.
  20. I own these in Mahogany, paid about $300. Was very happy at that price. They're great speakers and that Mahogany finish looks spectacular. Not worth $800 though, ever. Tasdom, mentions paying $80 for his set, I ecall him posting about that and making us all jealous! That is not the norm. $200-300/ RB-5's and $100-150/ RC-3, is more in line. He got a great deal
  21. That's a really nice looking set.
  22. I currently own both the kg 2.2 and rf-25. So, not 2.5's but pretty close. The rf-25's have more punch and dig a little deeper, vocally I prefer the accuracy that the rf-25's offer over that of the 2.2's. For $100 its a no brainer. I paid $450 for my rf-25's and that was at 50%off.
  23. In the garage Sale. Not. For. Sale. ??
  24. That's exactly what I do.
  25. Pssh, $6k can get you Disney World 'round these parts. Agreed, send him over, we'll get him headed in the right direction. Probably for less than that, too.
