  1. Do these new Yamahas have loudness buttons/knobs?
  2. Very interesting, FJD! Thanks I will look into those links.
  3. So how exactly do you guys time-align the Khorns bass bin with the top hat?
  4. Here's the 1992 Price List information. Pretty interesting! C2s were a few bucks less than Lascalas. I certainly think they hold their own. Pricelist_920201_635164927617016000-1.pdf
  5. Very sharp! Looks like they blend in perfectly with your room.
  6. Yes! Sansui 9090/9090db and G8000/G801 are favorites of mine. Definitely check out Sansui if you're not stuck on Marantz.
  7. Having used the Ti Crites tweeter diaphragm in my KLF10 and KG4, I noticed more air and detail. It's not a fatiguing sound, simply more accurate IMHO. The stock poly diaphragm material just isn't that great as a tweeter. I haven't messed with the midrange diaphragms, which could be poly or fabric. They sound so great, I haven't had any urge to change them. Some people prefer fabric or poly midrange sound to metal. It's certainly up to the listener! :-) I have titanium midrange drivers in my Khorns, which sound great as well.
  8. Awesome! I bought my pair a few months ago. They've been in storage during a recent move. I have some lesser speakers hooked up in the meantime, and all I think about is how much better everything sounds on the Chorus II. They also crank like few other home speakers will. Mine are black, which I wasn't thrilled with initially, but after seeing how nice the black looks, it actually has a cool modern sheen especially with the covers off. Crites Ti diaphragms also installed, I haven't messed with the crossovers since they sound so great as is. Let us know what you think!
  9. Hey now, what's wrong with 2330B? Fifty pounds, 130 watts, dual power supply, and gorgeous especially in the wood case. Great sounding, perhaps more modern compared to older models. They are relatively rare. Keep in mind I have a 2270, 2235B, and 2230 also for comparison.
  10. Agreed! They're my favorite Klipsch for a room with unavailable corners lol. Get Crites Ti diaphragms for the tweeters if you do snag them.
  11. Wow wow! Those Chorus II are a deal. Awesome speakers.
  12. Wow wow! Looks like you have a great collection. What are the amps? Congrats!
  13. Perhaps rotating the drivers 180 degrees will help. I've found that some older speakers using soft rubber surrounds, will droop slightly due to gravity. Rotating helps balance the driver so the voice coil doesn't scrape during higher excursions. If that doesn't work, perhaps replacement drivers are in order. I had to replace two of my KG4 woofers when I could never rid them of annoying clicking and scrapping at high levels. I bought them from an estate sale. They may have been over-driven by the previous owner. Obviously Ebay is a source for parts. Good luck, keep us updated.
  14. I'm just teasing some lol. I don't think of JBL or Altec as exactly small speakers. Whatever floats the seller's boat! Good luck with the sale, they look nice.
  15. Lol. He says he's selling because he lost his music room, and yet is interested in trading for other Altec, Klipsch, JBL? Ummm where are THEY gonna go?
  16. I was going to pull the woofers on my Choruses to access the internal parts, but the damn things don't budge! Even pressing the back magnets from the inside through the mid horn hole, it was stuck. I just want to make sure there are no adhesives used, if anyone has tried removing their pair before. Perhaps I just need to tap em with a mallet from behind. I don't want to damage the fronts with prying tools. Thanks for any suggestions!
  17. Those Carvers are very nice sounding amps.
  18. Haha you would be surprised by some similar ten inch subs like Sunfire.
