hsu Vtf15 mk2 or psa v1500 Which to go with? opinions needed
Coleman replied to jordan122345's topic in Subwoofers
Haven't heard either but I own a SVS SB13 Ultra and that sub is the backbone of my system. Like it so much I'm gonna buy another sooner than later. I vote PB2000. -
Picked this up at BB yesterday for 16.99 bluray. Highly recommend this if you like jazz. Very intense with a nice twist at the end. Audio was great coming through the Klipsch. I actually watched it twice and it was better second time around.

Klipsch Reference Premiere vs. Reference II Speakers
Coleman replied to Youthman's topic in Home Theater
The ONLY thing I like on the new line is the pretty copper Klipsch logo stamped on the speaker itself other then that I have no regrets on my current system and don't plan on upgrading for a long time. -
I ran the RC64II with RF62II's and thought I didn't really notice much timbre difference. Once I got the RF7II's I understood exactly what timbre meant. Huge difference going from a 1 inch driver to a 1.75 inch.

Yep Sancho you are correct. I also want to say this is my opinion without actually listening to the new/older 15. Then again after listening to the new 15 I might just change my opinion. Like Sancho said I'm going off of past experiences. I have owned a few of the Klipsch older subs.

I haven't heard a good Klipsch sub yet. I'm not saying they are that bad but from what I've heard they can't hold their own to an SVS. Also take into account all the perks you get from SVS. Trade up policy, 45 day in home trial, etc...

that is precisely how I have my 115 set... very low @50hz and it works very well. lets see... dual PB2000's or dual R115's??? I'd take the dual PB2000's

Fwiw I ran a RC64II with my RF62II's and it sounded just fine. Little timbre mismatched but not that noticeable. Just turn the 64II down a bit and it does not overpower the mains. They played fine together. Once I did get my 7II's though it made perfect sense why they belong together in perfect harmony.

Coleman replied to willland's topic in 2-Channel Home Audio
I also have scooped up the free samplers and they are very good. No catches. I have even purchased a few albums from them. Great quality! -

Question about removing Cornwall grills
Coleman replied to hundredpoundowlz's topic in Technical/Restorations
Yes we really wanted them grills off didn't we lol. So if you wanted to replace the grills how hard would it be or is that not an option altogether? -
What will you be using for a center speaker after you get the mighty Klipschorns?

Wish you were closer I need one more SB13 and that price is nice. Good luck with sale. -
Gorgeous. If I had the money I'd be on my way to Ohio.

Anyone using RSs instead of RBs as rears in a 7.2
Coleman replied to substance-p's topic in Home Theater
I'm using RS62II's flush mounted behind me up about 18 inches. They sound sweet. -
What's your budget for a sub?
-
That's a good deal. GLWS!!

Because he just bought a preamp/processor and he needs a way to amplify the signal. Bill Whoops sorry I missed that
-
So your room is small with a 5.1 setup and you only listen at around 90 db's? Why would you need an external amp? A flagship AVR with 140 w/ch will be more than sufficient with your room and listening levels. Save the extra money and buy another subwoofer IMO. The payoff meaning smile on your face with another sub rather than an amp will be much more satisfying.

My room is 19 x 13 and I have my gear on the long wall because of the base board heaters. My RS62II's are right behind me up 18-24 inches. Is it the best spot? Of course not but it's all I have to work with until I buy a house and have a dedicated room. The 62II's are a bit overkill but just drop the volume down on them and everything still sounds good.
