  1. Come on mOOn..... Becky was not into flying, but went with me to Hope on the first tour. I let her sit by the window. It was her first time. It was one of those 50 seat jets. She was wired.....but after that flight, she has had more air time than I have, she loves to fly now.....10 1/2 hours to Carolina....or 1 1/2 on a plane...I hate the long ride in a car...life too short So suck it up and get out here........
  2. I would bring my K-Horns and THX-Ultra 2 subs, but I ain't gonna move them ever again But I will be there to help Trey with his LS and his THX subs. BTW....the Ultra 2 sub system is to say the least. I live about 2 1/2 miles away from Klipsch now, so if anyone has a bit of time, they could stop by if they care to. My Horns have their own room now, 2 channel is all they do anymore HT in the basement only needs a bit more painting to be finished.

The previous Belle network was AB-2; it was not changed when the K-horn went to AK-3. ---------------- John is correct. The AA went to the AK in the K-Horn, the AK-2 was next when the K-55-V was replaced by the K-55-M, then in 89 the AK-3 The Belle went from the AA to the AB, then AB-2, never changed till the AB-3, which was the last change and the same time the K-Horn changed to the AK-4.
  6. Yes,they are 2004 La Scala's with AL-4 crossovers
  7. Gil, only the cosmetics are MDF, still real ply
  8. Hey Scooter, Let me know what you think about the 4805, I have been looking at the one myself. I am not planing a perf myself, too expensive for me.
  9. Here is the real answer "B" stands for Brownsville TX, the second location for CTS. "P" would have been the Paducah, KY CTS location. CTS and Eminence were both used simultaneously for a time. Concerning the binding posts. Do a google search and look at just the posts. There are several speaker parts suppliers that have just the posts and you could drill the small holes out a bit and install them. No need to replace them with a input panel We did this here to my Cornwalls, 1981's.

I just bought an Aragon 2007 and plan to use my 3803 for the time being as the processor. I'd like to pick up a Stage1 as well, but just don't have that extra few grand lying around. ---------------- I used to use a 3801 as a pre with an Aragon 8008x3 driving the mains, center Was a great combo. Stepping up the the Stage One as my pre and going to the 2007 was a noticeable difference. My system: 77 Klipschorns L&F, La Scala center(no date), RS-7 surrounds, RB-75 rear center. Sub? Klipsch prototype from mid 90's, never went into production.
  11. You were suggesting to vote for a certian party................. suggesting to "Just Vote" I don't see the harm. I would like to ask everyone to just let this issue REST. go listen to your system and/or discuss that If I am not being diplomatic about this? Then sorry about that

When is the next Klipsch contest? ---------------- Thanks, Aragon all the way. Don't know about any future contests. Please note to all......I pined this post to the top in hopes it will be more noticeable
  14. Hi Tom, CEDIA has consumed a lot of our time latley. Will try to stay more on top of this
  15. A BIG YES TO THAT!!! Go listen to what you own, vote for who ever, please leave it off of here. Thank you
  16. It sounds like the inductor in the mid circuit in the crossover may be picking up interference from something in the TV. Like a transformer. You stated the Belle has a K-55-X, the network is a AB-3. I would start with setting the crossover on it's side or turning it about 90 degrees from the original position However, as there are several inductors in the network, it may cause the same problem. Only way to tell for sure would be to try it
  17. If this is your computer speaker system and you have cable modem.... I would suggest disconnecting the cable feed to the modem, see if this resolves the hum. If it does, it may be an issue that may have been caused when they reconnected service. Again, if this is your PC speaker system, give the Promedia tech a call at 888-554-5665, should be able to suggest a few things.
  18. darn, doesn't go back far enough for me.....1951, I guess there were no charts back then LOL
  19. It may be a bad cap in the crossover. Try switching the drivers with each other and see if the problem follows the mid or stays with the cabinet. We can go from there after hearing the results
  20. The Ventures - Walk Don`t Run Was about the only thing in '59 I could get away with. Hey, it was a long time ago and we lived in Hawaii. Surf was up most of the time. Next was something by the Beach Boys. Played on a Grundig console

At over $2500/ pair retail, it surely doesn't fit the "value" tag of the Synergy line. I see the KSP's as a precursor to the Reference line, both in quality of build and performance. How do you, and how does Klipsch see its place in K history, build quality, materials, etc.? ---------------- Fini, sorry for the delay. The KSP-300 and 400 along with the matching centers and surrounds were called the Synergy Premier because they were both powered towers and were the "high" end of the Synergy Series. They set the stage for the Reference Series.
  22. The Academy used the K-76-KV tweeter The Heresy II and Quartet used the K-76-K which is the non shielded version. I used the Academy with a pair of Chorus I's in the past and felt it was an excellent match. Should be fine with Forte I and II, Chorus I and II, Heresy II and Quartet.
  23. Hey Doug, I agree with the dirty contact thought. Contact cleaner may help.
