  1. That's a steal. What are you using for L and R channels? Heresy rears would rock!
  2. You're piggybacking a 3 year old thread. Yours would sell if people could look at an ad.
  3. Spikes always scared me because I like to play with the placement.
  4. Very nice. I've been thinking about buying a Strat or Tele kit and assembling a guitar. I think I would try some kind of custom paint job. Many have spectacular reviews.
  5. Last year they started using all Gibson electronics in the Epi/Gibson Customshop re-issue models. It's much cheaper than replacing them later! They all come with a terrific hardshell case.
  6. I've always liked the British amp sound. I bought this little Vox AC10 a few months ago. I pairs great with a new Epiphone LP Standard Gibson Customshop reissue 59. I can't believe the quality of these modern Epi guitars.
  7. Even hi powered AVRs will run out of steam pushing power hungry speakers. Be careful, clipping can damage your speakers.
  8. While sheet wood veneer is harder to install, it will look much better than vinyl veneer.
  9. Can powered monitors receive a signal from a receiver? Can you hook up your turntable directly to the R51 monitors? What's the RCA jacks connected to on the speakers? The flash glare has it hidden.
  10. I think if you bought them you would not regret it, they are spectacular speakers. Imagine them sitting in your room!
  11. Sounds like the seller got greedy, became a douchebag and sold them out from under Rebos.
  12. I thought about doing the multi channel listening route. I have an Oppo CD player that has 7 channel audio out, just haven't pulled that trigger yet.I actually listen to 2 channel way more than HT.
  13. My center is a Palladium P27c. A lot will depend on what you're watching. If it's a movie with lots of explosions and high activity, your mains will receive more content, if there's more dialogue, the center will be used more. I do agree a matching system sounds better than mismatched.
  14. As an experiment to see how good my center speaker was, I used it in the front tower position for 2 channel listening. It sounded excellent, even better than I thought it would. I agree that the center is by far the most important speaker in a surround sound setting, then the sub. Another experiment. I only played the center and sub in HT mode, it sounded really good.
  15. You might as well save some time and money and find a pair of Jubilees!
  16. Spectacular pricing....good luck, your stuff won't last long.
  17. That's a great buy, hope you two work out the arrangements.
  18. We have similar taste in music. Peter Gabriel'a raspy voice alongside Kate Bush's opera style voice blend very well together. And the electric bass just gives your speakers a workout. I love the Wildflowers album, it has Tom's best song ever.....Crawling Back To You. The soundtrack to A Clockwork Orange movie. Anything by The Smashing Pumpkins will fill the bass need.
  19. You probably have to check with your particular state to find out.....🤭
  20. I never even got a receipt for my Klipsch speakers.....bastards 😄
  21. Where does the wiring go? Does the foam get channeled out for the wires and receptacles? The ones I saw had 2x lumber screwed into the plastic channels and short depth outlets for the wiring.
  22. So....since you lost the receipt and can't prove the warranty, it's Klipsch's fault.
  23. To impress my friends, I'll play "Don't Give Up" by Peter Gabriel, with Kate Bush singing with him. It's loaded with low end, plus Kate's voice piecing the upper end. It will test your equipment for sure, especially the bass guitar at the end.
