  1. Yea it's amazing the rapid progress the E-bikes are making. The batteries are getting much better, and much smaller. Soon, I predict an explosion of E-bike sales!
  2. Jeff, I don't know what you mean by Cornwall vault? Thx. The vaults are specifically designed shipping boxes for Cornwalls. With your 2k price search, I would think La Scalas or even Khorns could be found. You need the help of Opusk2k9, a member here who is "The Man" when it comes to Klipsch speaker acquirements! Good luck.
  3. I will be at Carmel Indiana's Palladium Center Sunday night for Beethoven's Ninth, I've never been to a symphony. I've always wanted to hear the Ninth, but I also want to see this performing arts center, the Palladium. It's supposed to be one of the best acoustic venues on the planet. I can't wait
  4. It's always nice to find a "nice pair"!!!
  5. Wow, this day is filled with birthdays. I hope everyone has a spectacular day….WOOHOO
  6. There was a lot of testimony today from the prosecution. A sad story was told by a local police officer who heard the blast, was on the scene instantly. He tried to get Dion out of the burning house, even made eye contact with Dion, but the flames were too intense.
  7. Album sales just went up…….PERKY
  8. I'm sorry about the crappy cell phone pic…
  9. I hope the "we just wanted to start a small fire to collect the insurance money" argument gets the attention it deserves. Every time they show the brothers they look a little more defeated and aged.
  10. Even though the prosecutor called the jury interview process "disastrous" they did finally approve a complete jury and the opening statements were today. The trial is in South Bend, about 140 miles away. The prosecution has 100s of witnesses.
  11. Always wanted a Shoei but the Arai helmets just fit me better. Picked up a Schuberth modular helmet last year and it's the most comfortable helmet I've ever owned and especially quiet. Had reservations about a modular but according to everything I read, the Schuberth is just as strong as a rigid full face. The internal sun visor is really slick. German. If a Schuberth is good enough for Michael Schumacher, it has to be good. I like that tinted visor idea, very nice.
  12. I wore Shoei helmets my whole life, I always thought an Arai wouldn't fit my round style head as well. About 4 years ago I needed a new race helmet (5 years old is the max) and bought an Arai Corsair V. I have to say it's a very comfy helmet, and the build quality is top notch. My only complaint is shield removal takes a while.
  13. ^^Awesome photo^^ Looks like everyone is having fun.
  14. Excellent!! The Nicky model is the most desired, getting very hard to find a deal on those. I like the 05/06 color scheme also, the black/charcoal colors with the silver stripes look great. Mine has the Sato low mounts, air box and a custom tune, the sound is addicting. I was hurt pretty bad and still have some minor complications but I'd be dead if I weren't wearing good gear. At the very least, if I weren't wearing a good full face helmet, I'd be so horribly disfigured that I'd want to be dead. There were some good pieces left on that bike (I think I saved the Sargent seat) but that's the last time I saw it - I was still in a wheel chair then. I'll never stop preaching about good gear. ATGATT (all the gear all the time) that's my motto also. People look at me funny sometimes with full face, boots, gloves, and jacket when it's 100 degrees out, but that gear can make a difference. Glad you made it through that….scary stuff for sure.
  15. Awesome deal, welcome….lots of knowledgeable people around here.
  16. Almost always it's the skill of the rider not the displacement of the bike. I've seen many a boy racer on 1000cc repli-racers humbled by skilled old men on Goldwings. I'd venture to say less than 5?% of sport bike riders get anywhere near the bikes capabilities. Almost always it's the skill of the rider not the displacement of the bike. I've seen many a boy racer on 1000cc repli-racers humbled by skilled old men on Goldwings. I'd venture to say less than 5?% of sport bike riders get anywhere near the bikes capabilities. I would guess it's probably less than 5%, very few people can take a modern bike to it's limits….I know I can't Speaking of Duc eaters, this is what was left of my Duc after I ate it. Good reminder of my skillz to look at this from time to time. The TT would eat me up - I doubt that many mortals could recover from those "little wobbles" at those speeds with feet off the pegs. HOLY HECK!!! I hope you were okay. That's a lot of damage. Did you get rid of the bike, or salvage any of it? "One Liter Duc Eater" was a term used to describe Honda's Early 2000s World Superbike. They got tired of losing championships with their V45 (750cc V4) against the Ducati 1000cc V twins, so Honda made a 1000cc V twin of their own, called an RC51. It won 2 WSBK and 1 AMA SBK titles. They are becoming rare, pretty unique bike.
  17. S1000RR. I ride a 13 R1200 GS LC That's a nice bike, looks like fun. They are definitely becoming more popular. Yea that S1000rr is a mean machine for sure. I would love to ride one, especially on the track.
  18. Though he's been racing since the age of 16 and won his first GP championship on 125 cc 2 strokes at 17, Rossi is only 36 years old... Yea I meant to say late 30s….still an old guy to still be racing, pretty impressive.
  19. I ride a One Liter Duc Eater Anybody know what it is?
  20. Yea he's definitely a marketing machine, he and Ducati made a lot of money from their connection. I thought it is interesting how well Stoner did on the Duc, and Rossi couldn't do anything, different bike I know. I would say he's is the GOAT though. The way he recently changed his riding style to compete with Marquez and Lorenzo, pretty amazing, especially while in his late 40s. My favorite race of the year is when MotoGP comes to Indy, the performance of those machines is spectacular. I have a Rossi signed helmet in my closet. The first year here he was signing my friend's ticket stub. I carried my helmet around because I didn't want to leave it on my bike, (with 100k other bikes around!) and he looked at me and asked…."you lika signatir"? I said sure!!
  21. I feel your pain. I have a 14 year old daughter and she saw 5 SOS last year with One Direction in Chicago. I guess now 5 SOS is a headlining group. We bought tickets through Stubhub, they were on the floor about halfway back, they were in the $200 range. She has tickets to the One Direction show here in Indy next month, these boy bands are popular right now….good luck.
