  1. The RS-7's are awesome surround speakers, they're the best I've ever owned by a long shot right up there with the RC-7 center speaker. Klipsch really out did themselves when they came up with those speaker sets.
  2. Congrats, glad to hear that you like them!
  3. Are your speakers wired out of phase from the amp? I'd assume there is something wrong by your description, either with the way things are set up or with the speakers themselves. Were the speakers demo'd to you by the seller before you bought them?
  4. That was a great price, congrats!
  5. Wow, 60k+ posts on a single forum, that is just crazy.. How long have you been a member here?
  6. Check the Klipsch "Map," I believe there was general consensus on the pecking order listed here and the Cornwall is two rungs up from the Heresy:
  7. You're just being a jerk, nobody could possibly "know" which speaker this guy would prefer. He asked for opinions on these two specific models and yes I have owned both and preferred the Cornwall's by a large margin and would recommend them over the H-III's to anyone who has the room for the larger speakers any day of the week.
  8. Last I checked I was entitled to and free to share my opinion. The OP asked for opinions and I gave him mine.
  9. It is in my opinion that "most people" would, "without a doubt" prefer the sound from an original Cornwall over a Heresy III. I base this on my own personal experience and from what I've gathered from other people's opinions about the two models over the years. Does that clear things up?
  10. Yes, without a doubt so long as you have the space for them. As mentioned above they sound great stock but have lots of different options for upgrades down the road if you find the need and some are quite simple and easy to do that make big improvements.
  11. You know checking the history on the Klipsch page it appears that the seller might actually be right technically speaking. The original Cornwall had the k-1000 mid horn and the Cornwall II came out in 1963 with the k-600 mid horn see the note on the bottom of the page: "* By 1981 it was forgotten that the “original Cornwall II” occurred in 1963 when the K-1000 horn was replaced with the K-600 horn. Same thing with the Heresy, so we have had two II’s in both models!" http://www.klipsch.com/cornwall-history
  12. Yes, it is well known that the earth has generally been warming and the sea level has been rising for what, 20,000 years? If it had not been half the globe would still be covered in ice. https://www.atmos.washington.edu/academics/classes/2001Q1/211/Group_projects/group_D_F00/index.html
  13. I sent him pictures of the front and back of an actual Cornwall II and encouraged him to call Klipsch to be sure if he must, I'm sure someone there can set him straight with just a serial number?
  14. Here is the response I got back: rjs1956ad Sorry but you are also misinformed. Sigh. You NEED to look at the ACTUAL information from KLIPSCH DIRECTLY ... I'm so SICK AND TIRED of people who CLAIM to know the facts when they haven't even spent the few minutes it takes to find the TRUTH. Sigh. Please do your research THOROUGHLY and when you do you can send an apology.
  15. Klipsch has the advantage of selling matched sets, they could produce another RSW line with beautiful veneer matching the top Reference line and I believe a lot of people would buy them if for no other reason than to have a matched set. An RSW-18 would just be incredible but I'm not sure it would be as appealing to many due to the shear size and weight it would have to be if it were in proportion to the older RSW line. The cabinet size and weight difference between the RSW-12 & 15 is pretty large and the 15 already weighs 90 lbs, about the limit of one person handling the thing. The size and weight of an 18" version would probably require two people to install and set up, which may be a turn off for some.
  16. According to the IPCC's own figures even if the entire US of A was completely abandoned or switched "off," it would have very little to no effect on Climate:
  17. I just sent him a message confirming that they are indeed originals and if he needs proof to do a google image search the see the obvious differences between the two models. I think its appropriate to help educate sellers if one is so inclined, especially in cases like this, where the seller, through no real fault of his own, has been led to believe he has a certain model which he does not have. Obviously it is a personal choice whether or not you do so but I believe it helps eBay sellers and potential buyers alike.
  18. Good for you! It say it all the time, try it out for yourself and make your own determination of what sounds best. It is possible though that you're so use to what the 43's sound like that it has been imprinted in your brain as to what it is "suppose to" sound like. I'd recommend leaving the 33's in for at least a few days to let your ears adjust to the new sound before making any definitive conclusions though.
  19. They will do that if the winning bidder does not pay. I would assume in this situation that buyer paid but then backed out maybe after seeing the speakers in person?

An old co-worker of mine went through one of these websites a few years back, wanted to look up an ex girlfriend he dated in high-school. I believe he sent around $80? and got back a huge envelope that including copies of her marriage license, Drivers License photos, tax statements, records of her kids birth and where they went to school, where she lived and how much she paid for her house and on and on. It was about 2 inches thick of papers with what had to be everything single record available on her, it was crazy.
  21. From what I understand they have discontinued the whole Palladium line and when the remaining inventory dries up they are gone forever with no plans to replace them.
  22. Glad to hear to got it figured out!
  23. Oh my god, I got a good chuckle out of this right here!
  24. In fact in the big picture of climate data sea level rise has really slowed down to a crawl:
  25. Miami has its own issues for sure but it is not from any change in rate of sea level rise, it has been rock steady for the last 100 years according to NOAA data: https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/sltrends/sltrends_station.shtml?stnid=8724580
