  1. Yes, without a doubt so long as you have the space for them. As mentioned above they sound great stock but have lots of different options for upgrades down the road if you find the need and some are quite simple and easy to do that make big improvements.
  2. You know checking the history on the Klipsch page it appears that the seller might actually be right technically speaking. The original Cornwall had the k-1000 mid horn and the Cornwall II came out in 1963 with the k-600 mid horn see the note on the bottom of the page: "* By 1981 it was forgotten that the “original Cornwall II” occurred in 1963 when the K-1000 horn was replaced with the K-600 horn. Same thing with the Heresy, so we have had two II’s in both models!" http://www.klipsch.com/cornwall-history
  3. Yes, it is well known that the earth has generally been warming and the sea level has been rising for what, 20,000 years? If it had not been half the globe would still be covered in ice. https://www.atmos.washington.edu/academics/classes/2001Q1/211/Group_projects/group_D_F00/index.html
  4. I sent him pictures of the front and back of an actual Cornwall II and encouraged him to call Klipsch to be sure if he must, I'm sure someone there can set him straight with just a serial number?
  5. Here is the response I got back: rjs1956ad Sorry but you are also misinformed. Sigh. You NEED to look at the ACTUAL information from KLIPSCH DIRECTLY ... I'm so SICK AND TIRED of people who CLAIM to know the facts when they haven't even spent the few minutes it takes to find the TRUTH. Sigh. Please do your research THOROUGHLY and when you do you can send an apology.
  6. Klipsch has the advantage of selling matched sets, they could produce another RSW line with beautiful veneer matching the top Reference line and I believe a lot of people would buy them if for no other reason than to have a matched set. An RSW-18 would just be incredible but I'm not sure it would be as appealing to many due to the shear size and weight it would have to be if it were in proportion to the older RSW line. The cabinet size and weight difference between the RSW-12 & 15 is pretty large and the 15 already weighs 90 lbs, about the limit of one person handling the thing. The size and weight of an 18" version would probably require two people to install and set up, which may be a turn off for some.
  7. According to the IPCC's own figures even if the entire US of A was completely abandoned or switched "off," it would have very little to no effect on Climate:
  8. I just sent him a message confirming that they are indeed originals and if he needs proof to do a google image search the see the obvious differences between the two models. I think its appropriate to help educate sellers if one is so inclined, especially in cases like this, where the seller, through no real fault of his own, has been led to believe he has a certain model which he does not have. Obviously it is a personal choice whether or not you do so but I believe it helps eBay sellers and potential buyers alike.
  9. Good for you! It say it all the time, try it out for yourself and make your own determination of what sounds best. It is possible though that you're so use to what the 43's sound like that it has been imprinted in your brain as to what it is "suppose to" sound like. I'd recommend leaving the 33's in for at least a few days to let your ears adjust to the new sound before making any definitive conclusions though.
  10. They will do that if the winning bidder does not pay. I would assume in this situation that buyer paid but then backed out maybe after seeing the speakers in person?

An old co-worker of mine went through one of these websites a few years back, wanted to look up an ex girlfriend he dated in high-school. I believe he sent around $80? and got back a huge envelope that including copies of her marriage license, Drivers License photos, tax statements, records of her kids birth and where they went to school, where she lived and how much she paid for her house and on and on. It was about 2 inches thick of papers with what had to be everything single record available on her, it was crazy.
  12. From what I understand they have discontinued the whole Palladium line and when the remaining inventory dries up they are gone forever with no plans to replace them.
  13. Glad to hear to got it figured out!
  14. Oh my god, I got a good chuckle out of this right here!
  15. In fact in the big picture of climate data sea level rise has really slowed down to a crawl:
  16. Miami has its own issues for sure but it is not from any change in rate of sea level rise, it has been rock steady for the last 100 years according to NOAA data: https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/sltrends/sltrends_station.shtml?stnid=8724580
  17. Thanks for the heads up. Really looking for a pair of 1's within a few hundred miles of me, preferably a lot closer and in Walnut if that's not being too picky. I've got plenty of speakers so I'm in no real hurry, basically started this thread because of how long I've been searching without any luck. I'd even consider working out some sort of trade for my Cherry RF-7 II's if anyone local is interested? I can dream..
  18. I've mixed and matched subs before and can't think of a time that it made things worse. Some subs are just awful sounding or not very loud but depending on placement and crossover points it is possible that any sub could help. I don't know anything about the SW-115 but it seems to get good reviews. If you can get it a good deal price I'd say try it out, just don't pay too much in case you don't like it and want to resell it.
  19. No, not exactly but I am against the politics involved in all of this. If you look at the data Greenland is actually gaining ice this season beyond what has been normal and while yes, ice has been melting there it has only lost about .3% of its mass in about the last 115 years-- 1/3rd of 1% The earth warms and cools, we are an industrious people and will find a way to cope somehow. Historically, from what I understand warming trends have been significantly kinder to mankind than cooling trends. Looking back through the Climate record the earth is always either warming or cooling. About Greenland: "Of course 9,2 trillions of tons may look huge, but once one assumes that the total inlands is ice volume is 2,600,000 km3 (according to the US Geological survey), these 9,2 trillions tons losses represent only a tiny 0,3 p.c. of the total. So, the climate alarmists are saying that the Greenland's ice cap is melting at a catastrophic rate and now we are just told that for more than one century the losses were almost equal to zero. Something is wrong with the climate science as it is handled by the IPCC" From what I understand all of this melting equaled about a 1 inch rise sea level over a century. Historically sea level rise has been roughly 7 inches a century total and has been steady at that pace for a very long time, we are thawing out from the last ice age.
  20. Proof NOAA has been changing climate data for quite awhile now and according to the reports Greenland has been gaining ice recently?
  21. And government intervention via the Paris agreement is going to stop that? I believe I read somewhere that Greenland has lost a total of 0.3% of ice in the last 100 or so years and you're certain C02 has caused how much of this exactly?
  22. I agree 100% in cleaner energy and curbing / cutting / cleaning up pollution as best as we can but glaciers have been melting steadily for at least 100 hundred years before the great rise in C02 and to blame it on "Man" and then tax the sh!t out of everything to stuff MORE money into politicians and people like Al Gore's pockets is just crazy to me.
  23. We just had 4 inches of snow here in the PNW, which by itself is not that unusual but it was, I believe the 6th time this season we've had measurable snow. A typical good snow year we might see 2 or 3 events, we've already doubled that and still have a month of winter to go. Several sites I've looked at are predicting global cooling to start any time from this year out to early 2020's. We've had an 15 year "pause" already in warming but they continue fudging the climate data in hopes of securing the Paris agreement. "America has the right to unbiased science:"
  24. Hidden peer reviewed data by the IPCC?
  25. I think there is legitimate concern for the health of our oceans, radiation leaks in Japan, massive plastic islands and unthinkable amounts of raw sewage being dumped into it every year to name a few. From the limited research I've done increased C02 and slight temperature increases are actually healthy for life in the ocean, the other things are not.
