Most car amps are 4 ohm or less. Will that work well with that sub? Are klipsch powered subs 4ohm or 8

Me too I like them they way they are. Just some say crossover network and other really improves them. Reluctant to mess with them. Definetely don't want to make them worse

Same for me as far as having 2 inadequate subs Sancho. Funny thing. When I went to pick up my la scala's money for nothing is what the seller played as a demo. My mind was already made up but that sealed the deal

Oh yeah I almost forgot I thought some might find this amusing. I moved the cf1's to the rear and am currently using a pair of altec Lansing 886b's as risers for them. Best use I have gotten from the altecs since buying them

I am using lascala's as my fronts in a 7.2 ht. I have two synergy sub 12's. My lascalas are in the corners and the subs are to the inside of them underneath my TV wedged in a space between two bookcases and the bottom TV Stand. I had the subs before while using a pair of cf1's as mains and they sounded pretty boomy. Since adding the lascala's I don't notice the boominess anymore and I do like the tight bass I get from them. I think they just overpower the sub 12's volume. I do still have good low end rumble when watching movies but with music its much better cleaner bass than before. Not some expert by any means just giving you my experience with a similar setup as what you were considering.
