Dave, how much do the THTLP’s bring to the table when paired with the La Scala’s? Ive considered pairing a horn loaded sub with mine for years. I’ve just never pulled the trigger. I’ve had larger Klipsch pro speakers in the past and miss the low end they provide.

Speaker’s look great Dave.

Minty Klipsch KP 201 Set Of 4 Speakers $1,600 Peotone IL. ***SOLD***

Seems like a decent deal to me. Be a long time before you run across 4 matched 201’s again. -
I’m all over the Spectrum. Usually I listen at around 80db though. Not uncommon to be over 90. Most of the music I listen to sounds better the louder it gets.

I have owned this setup in the past minus the active crossover and can say without a doubt that there is not much out there that can come close to besting this setup. -
New Heritage Jubilee Larger Venue Review?

I’ve also had MWM’s in a small room. MWM bass is very nice, no matter what size the room. -
I just wanted to comment on the speaker transaction last night. The forum member and her husband basically drove 2 days straight by the time they made it to my place to pick up the speakers. She told me they were picking up a vehicle and stopping to get the speakers on the way back home. For some reason, in my head, I was thinking a used pickup or nice sedan. They arrived at my place around midnight pulling a trailer with a Ford GT-40 strapped to it. I got to see a really cool car and had a fantastic evening with them. The husband got the car and the wife got the speakers. I’d say that’s a pretty good deal!

As I stated in the first sentence of my comment. I actually can’t afford to smoke anything these days. Thanks for asking though.

I agree and it’s not just the economy doing this. People are finally realizing that all the above mentioned speakers sound much better than anything new at the $1,000 price point. Plus, original Heritage and extended Heritage (Chorus, Forte) are getting up there in age. The supply is just not what it once was.

Prices have been up for quite sometime now. The days of $1000 La Scala’s are gone.

Cornwall IV compared to Chorus II?
nickyboy6100 replied to soundbound's topic in General Klipsch Info
I’m not a Cornwall expert, but I’ve never really liked the bass section in the older versions. It always seemed thick and flabby. This is just my opinion. The new Cornwall sounds much better in the bass section. I can’t really compare the new Cornwall to the Chorus because I’ve only heard the Cornwall in a showroom for around 15-20 minutes. I owned Chorus II for a long time and really liked them. Bass is very nice. I always thought they sounded best with higher wattage amps and heavy on the volume. -
Cornwall IV compared to Chorus II?
nickyboy6100 replied to soundbound's topic in General Klipsch Info
I am not a big Cornwall fan. I’m a huge Chorus fan, both versions. I listened to the new Cornwalls at a dealer a few months ago and thought they sounded excellent. Even though they were powered by a 7-channel AVR. -
I see you found my thread! Good luck with your vehicle.

I have the low pro blue 3 ton aluminum racing jack from Harbor Freight. I bought it on sale a few years ago and love it. Built to last and though still heavy, quite a bit lighter than the steel version.

LaScalas insdustrial for a local Disco venue?

Looks really nice! How’s the sound? -
I’m surprised also. I’m really not in a hurry to sell them. I just don’t listen to them since my splits are finished. If someone comes to look at them, I’m sure they will take them home.

I couldn’t find many threads with members who have actually used the JEM capacitors and reported their results.
