  1. I don't recall a LSII specific plan, however there are LSI plans in several threads. There are a few differences that stand out between the two however I think the internal dimensions are very similar. You can infer much of the outer dimension by using th LSI plan and adding the extra material to the outside. There are details about these differences buried in threads so you will have to search. Searching la scala plans yielded over 100 results. As for the networks the schematic is listed with all of the other networks in one of the sticky threads. Search K77 K55 K33 K401 That should supply you with plenty to read.
  2. The usual recommended AC voltage on the secondaries is between 20-25V for this chip. I used antec 22V transformers when I built this chip to push speakers from 4 to 8 ohm. Your mains power at the wall will also have an affect on the output of your transformers. Again this is from memory, I built this chip over 5 years ago. Are you using a pcb or wiring point to point?
  3. This is all from memory. Your rectified voltage with a transformer with 30V secondaries will be more like 42V.
  4. I have had very good results with Band-it veneer products, specifically the heat bond. One nice feature is you can reposition it after it is applied, which makes matching corner 45 cuts a snap.
  5. Maybe use a brush attachment on a vac. I cleaned some oxblood grills that had not been touched since some time in the 70s on some ESS monitors this way. They looked like new after. If that grill is disintegrating you have nothing to lose. After that try water, however I don't know what water does to cane.
  6. I seem to remember a recent thread about this, maybe in the home theater forum. I think they were using dye to get a uniform black color.

  8. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/91991-anyone-ever-try-to-make-a-la-scala-bass-bin-for-a-18-inch-woofer/#comment-999970 I found this thread, unfortunately the links are dead but maybe someone who replied to the thread remembers what the content was. Ciare is still around so the info must be too.
  9. Yeah I definitely didn't address the OP. I think I was addressing coytees post. Sorry, not enough coffee
  10. A nice horn sub is easy to build and not very expensive. This will get the bass where you want it and sound amazing. If space is an issue a long style horn sub pointed at the ceiling will work well.
  11. An 18" driver will not fit inside the doghouse of a stock La scala. You would have to redesign.
  12. Those look nothing short of amazing. Excellent job!
  13. That will look amazing! Who is making these veneers for you?
  14. I can't say off hand, however if no one else chimes in Bob can answer that too.
  15. What about Bob? http://www.critesspeakers.com/klipsch_tweeters.html
  16. Sorry for the crumby photo, but there are the DE-120s hiding behind those horns. I do not have measurements but they sound much better to me than the Ct-125 they replaced. Also moving the tweeters back makes these a totally different speaker, in a very good way!
  17. Some blue ray players have "audio" settings. They will filter the life out of music of they are set incorrectly. I have a yamaha blue ray player that has these options only one setting sounds correct. It would default back to the filtered setting occasionally and I would have to set it back. That player has been demoted to the bedroom system and I replaced it with an erc-3. Much happier.
  18. Haha, well if another deal anywhere near that good comes up don't bother posting to alerts, just PM me!
  19. I have always loved the cherry and mahogany finish on speakers but I purchased this 11 Piece RF-7ii System from Craigslist for $2000. I wasn't going to pass on that deal because they weren't my preferred Good grief, that has to be the holy grail of klipsch scores on Craigslist. Nice job!
  20. I think the thread title says it all.
  21. Very nice, I too recently exchanged my ct125 for de120s though I used a different waveguide. I have not had much time to listen recently but my initial observations point to a Definite change in detail and depth. I like the mid horns, are they DIY?
  22. Are all the connections from the cart correct and connected? Did you try plugging the right side of the interconnect into the left channel?
  23. If my memory serves me the second board with the squaretangular Jupiter caps are AA networks built by deang. I have the AA build thread bookmarked somewhere. Very cool build!
