  1. Perhaps that is the case with my set up - RC 62 II between a pair of Ohm Acoustics 2000s. The Klipsch is dead neutral and very clear, seems to blend incredibly well with the extra wide sound stage the Ohms put out. Works so well in fact I have decided to forgo purchasing an Ohm centre.
  2. For some reason the larger Klipsch centres seem to blend well with other brands.

    Led Zeppelin 2!

Damn, it might be our provider but none of the videos would play.
  4. A shot I found online. Piano Black has a very nice mirror like quality to it.
  5. A piano finish is timeless and very classy looking. It won’t look out of place in any room.

    forum

That is a shame but I guess comfort is key. As for myself I really enjoy this forum, and very much appreciate the feel of camaraderie here - whether it be music, equipment or general interest discussions. I also seem to learn something new each time I sign in. A very nice crew from all over.
  7. I would say that the ethnic determination tests offered on TV are bullocks on stilts. However proper DNA tests done through a your Dr and a certified lab are another creature altogether. My wife and her biological father confirmed their relationship about 15 years ago with a 99% match. It was the development of a serious medical condition my wife developed that caused her mother to “spill the beans”. Her so called father that she had known was a worthless pos that sexually abused her as a child and led to a divorce back when she was 7. After a couple years of very pleasant phone calls and getting to know him and his family (all grown), we finally met each other in northern Alberta (Peace River). As soon as he opened the door it was a no brainer, the remblance was beyond striking. Turns out he had always suspected but my wife’s mother had lied to him for years. We have been very welcome members of the wider family ever since.

    PINK FLOYD

Enjoyed them for years, however Waters ruined it for me. I banished them from my home and system several years ago by giving my entire collection to a coworker.
  9. The look is very striking. I hope they sound really good as well.
  10. They look great, remind me a bit of the Palladium look.
  11. Nice! Looking forward to seeing these unboxed. They have a very impressive distinctive look.
  12. I was very interested in a pair from this series a year ago but was unable to hear them. I have on weekends up until a year ago, worked the local FM station, we had a great set of JBL monitors in the broadcast studio ( prettynice pair of Tannoys in prod). They rocked. Only ever heard them with classic rock/80s as that was our playlist but really liked the overall JBL sound. Similar in many ways to the Klipsch sound.
  13. The most beautiful of all Klipsch speakers - IMO ( Palladiums excluded). In ten years when I retire and move to southern Canada my goal will be to obtain a pair.
  14. A bit pricy for my budget but not completely out of this world as some are.
  15. Great topic and looking forward to input. My original plans of a small system in my den are now seeming unrealistic due to the proximity of the TV living room. This is the way Iam leaning for marital harmony.
  16. I have often wondered this myself and had thought it had to do with the fact that most rock is played with electric instruments intentionally distorted to begin with , rather than the mainly acoustic instruments used in jazz. Just about all my 50s and early 60s jazz sounds better overall than the rock from the 70s and 80s which I also enjoy.
  17. The small Green computer option looks promising and is priced much closer to what I was hoping to spend. I’m going to look a little deeper into these.
  18. Might be the mic or the room, but they sound a little boomy and harsh. The Khorns I’ve heard in person (only two different set ups), sounded detailed , balanced and smoother.
  19. Like I said ai am extremely new to this. A lot of the digital equipment I see reviewed in Stereophile I skip over. Flack seems to be what I’m getting. Wink
  20. Wow, that is nice. Two terabytes and flack to boot. Getting closer to my price range. I plan to get something like this perhaps early next year.
  21. This is the sort of thing I was thinking about. Thanks.
  22. Have been considering the advantages of ripping my CDs. Ideally I’d like to look into a component that rips, stores and plays. I see Naim has the Uniti rigs although they are far more expensive than I like. Anyone using something along these lines that won’t break the bank.
  23. Nope, the late great Wes Montgomery.
  24. Wes Montgomery all day long.
  25. I would suggest you pull it out of the corner. Although great for room rumbling in movies, it has been my experience that such placement lessens tightness for music. Congrats on your acquisition.
