  1. Oh man, this is a tough thread. I’ve had to put dogs down and it is not at all fun. Thank you for being there for Newman, even at the very end.
  2. Which 3.5W SET are you considering? Just curious.
  3. This is great stuff. It expands. Be careful not to use too much. If you do, let it completely dry and then use a knife or chisel. Resist the urge to try to clean it up while it is wet.
  4. I used to use lemon oil on my horns because that's what the original owners used for 48 years, but it seemed the shine only lasted about a week or two. Switched to Howard Feed-N-Wax. Shine lasts much longer now. You might want to use Howard Restor-A-Finish first like they recommend. I haven't tried it.
  5. Tonight I got the second LF bin woofer installed, the bottom sealed up, and the wheels put on... so for the first time I've heard both channels. Just some painting and trim to go. Sounds great!
  6. Replaced the front edge "L" extrusions with "U" extrusions on the LF bin. This hides the ratty interior edge and helps support the new armor for the leading edge of the V. I ordered this stuff more than a month ago and USPS lost it. Earlier last week they found it in Florida and here it is. Looks much better.
  7. I always enjoyed his acting. R.I.P., Scott.
  8. I’ve talked to Bob a few times on the phone and ordered from him several times. He has given me good advice with no nonsense. He’s a good guy.
  9. With apologies to Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young: Klipschorns and Belle are sitting, In a building all alone, No photos or serial numbers, "For sale" in Ohio
  10. If I'm not mistaken, these take the full height of the top hat section, which means that the tweeter gets re-oriented to a vertical configuration and placed at the side of the new horn.
  11. With all due respect to you for the death of your father, there's something odd going on here. Allow me to explain. In August of 2007, you had two Klipschorns and one Belle for sale. By early October 2007 you said all three were gone. You turned up again yesterday and offered two Klipschorns and one Belle for free. You clearly knew they were worth something the first time around... Now you post what I presume are the same three speakers for sale "to highest bidder", with a different email address than last night. You say they must be removed by the end of October, but don't provide a date when your auction is officially over. As someone already pointed out, this isn't eBay. People here are generally good people, as evidenced by someone letting you know they have worth. You might consider posting photos, serial numbers, and prices. IMO you'll have better success if you just lay your cards out. Flame all you want at me, I'm not bidding.
  12. Heck, they know it now! Code is in the house! (I promise I'd keep the volume down). 😀
  13. Email them! Wish I was closer. I'd have nowhere to put them. I wonder what work would think of a couple of horns in my office? lol.
  14. What's weird is that they posted in 2007 for two Klipschorns and one Belle for sale, then posted that they had been sold. My guess is that they went to a family member or something and now are free. I'm still saying Ohio. Maybe near Columbus. Edit: I hit a wall. I got nothin'.
  15. On one of their earlier posts, they said "Ohio". I'm trying to find out more... Edit: Maybe near Columbus. Still looking.
  16. I love this. Looking forward to the next installment.
  17. Amen to that. I remember when this baby's mother was that tiny. Reminder to love your kids, no matter what, and make sure they know it. Life is too short for nonsense and conflict.
  18. Wow, I bet that sounds fantastic. A few La Scala's thrown in too. Unbelievable. Thanks for posting these photos!
  19. You haven't said exactly what you find lacking. You know, like "if only they had more ......." "If only the ...... were better", whatever. Those are beautiful Belles, by the way. And cool artwork.
