Deep bass seems to be the fad now. An honest distortionless bass is important to me.Back in the 70s and 80s treble was the fad. Everybody wanted those sizzling highs. You could buy super tweeters. Now it’s all about boomy bass and subwoofers. Hereseys offer a good honest bass suitable for most music. Toe them in for better imaging. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I used the flash. Light through windows bright. I love my LaScalas. 1973 vintage. They were previously used in a disco. Had them for 15 years sound amazing at 110db! Some say lacking in bass may be true for techno hip hop and rap but amazing for real music. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Klipschorns without a corner. Don’t dig as deep as a KHorn but IMO satisfactorily. If you like DEEP bass which is the fad now you can always add a sub. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My Heresys are ‘78 vintage. My LaScalas are ‘73 vintage. Both pair sound great and amaze me dailey. As long as they sound magnificent I see no reason to tamper and tinker with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Stuff em into the corners of the long wall and toe em in 45 degrees. If you need the Heresy use it. PWK said to use the long wall in a room. This should sound amazing! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Have you thought about building false corners? There are plans for these designed by PWK in the Dope From Hope papers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
My receiver as many has a A/B selector for front speakers. Use the LaScalas as the B speakers and the theatre speakers in A. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You said it when you said the B&Ws sounded refined. Klipsch sounds like live music and the B&Ws sound like speakers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sound dampening inside bass cabinet? The doghouse is part of the folded horn. Needs to reflect sound, not dampen it, Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
