  1. It would change the way I've thought about the north side of town here in May and Oct. Or Daytona in Feb. with the 12 cylinders singing for days on end or June on with the practices.
  2. Could the rubber fare better now with the nitrogen that does not permeate the tires in them? Love that stuff, still check the pressure the first of each month like I always have. I just don't go outside with my pocket full of quarters anymore!
  3. Never studied it, but the turns there aren't like Nascar tracks. My `73 SE Charger did 233 kph a couple of times in `79 when I was 16 and we did not have a half million here that could not read English signs. Can't do 45 mph on the boulevard now `cause of that!
  4. Don't forget the computer technician! OR did you duplicate the electrician. Interesting video but that car is going pretty slow when I translate from the foreign speed measurements, haven't other cars turned in way faster laps at that famous track?
  5. @ILI This could get contentious! Not with me though. It is worthwhile to me, if you could try hooking them up both ways to compare you will know for yourself. First off, when I got my Forte IIIs they had the option of bi-wiring or amping on the back. Experience in the past with a monster 90s receiver and three sets attached... I know the spl can be improved utilizing all sets of speaker outs on that RX-1100! Picked up a set of "vertical bi-wire" speaker wire for the new Klipsch. Using speaker outs B for the LF and A for the HF I was pleased with the sound of my new Heritage set. I put the jumpers back on and attached them with a single negative and positive wire. Yes there was a difference in SPL with the volume pot up to noon or one o-clock. There is a difference at lower volumes also and honestly that's where I am most of the time now when listening. That's simply the watts/channel going up 50% to each speaker. More than that on the old Yamaha it was 125 in two channel, 100 into four or six. Not just a difference in the SPL though, the "enunciation" of the bass, mid and high frequency sounds is improved upon. So much so that I did not send the cable set with the double positive and negative leads back. I'm not looking back either, and my mind is made up on this matter. Only wish I could bi-amp now!!
  6. I've always kept boxes for electrical and or expensive things until the warranty expired at least. Kept the Heresy II boxes from 1990 until `04 when my living space could not handle them anymore. It never fails that when kept they're in the way somehow, but I'd need them for something three weeks after putting them in the recycle bin!
  7. Yea that's the brand, there have been two in good shape for sale at the garage section just last month. They don't show up often here. Good question. Pretty sure that your rig is more sensitive than mine is with the BIG Klipsch you have! My new system came together in less than six months. All I know is that the DACs in my current gear are light years ahead of what I had previously used.
  8. Always something isn't it? I wanted to play DVDs and SACDs the one Cambridge had was $750. I choked on that price, it was a rebadged big popular brand that shut down last year. The new ones tripled in price after that! I figure I'm good for now!
  9. Dude. You were very particular about this project and it does show! Now too bad you don't have some tar and feathers for the schmuk that reneged. Location for folks interested? GLWYS

    The Other Discs

Yaah! Got it the other day. Got time for it now! @Edgar notice what the preamp is receiving? It's been a long time since I've been able to play this recording at all.
  11. It is all that I have used in the stereo since almost three years ago and I love it. It does not have all the timers that my old Yamaha carousel did but I quit making recordings so I got over that. * Besides the DAC/channel in my pre make digital almost magnificent!
  12. The Cambridge CX transport does that. Mine new was a little higher than that new a couple years ago. You might find one for less than your budget now!
  13. My brother used to tell me he heard that... and also "The kind of music that disturbs the soul" from Seger! found a goofy video of the one that was in "The Warriors"
  14. Really like the soft lighting in your tiki bar/cabana thing saw some previous photos where it seemed to be glowing from under the roof!
  15. Haven't heard this in a long while, the airwaves almost literally reeked of this band four decades ago. *Four decades ago everything around me literally reeked of something too! Excellent LP!
  16. That party flamingo is still out, sounds like a nice idea @dtel
  17. Could see these guys over and over again and it would be different and fantastic each time. Five times for me and I've heard them do almost all of Zeppelins #4 for their encores. Yea their rockers I love... but the other almost instrumental tunes, Ann & Nancy included with those instruments I love even more! They used the backside to post their music too.
  18. Great! Happy ladies are nice to have around!
  19. I had some harbucks this morning, we rushed out of here at 7:30 to take her to her salon south of here. Made some swill called pikes place in a machine you put these little cupcake sized pods into WTF? I've always brewed it. & I know why, I went outside and pitched it in the grass. They had "worked her in"... went and got the gas at the warehouse down there then waited until 8:45 and left her there reading another domesticated magazine!! Went home to get my immuno that I have to take at 9am and got my cup off of where I left it, threw it in the wave and had good stuff for the drive back to pick her up. @WillyBob Liked `em better this way:
  20. Like it started out, You want it? You've got it! Toyo.... nevermind
  21. @oldenough That is one of the most detailed pictures of a beautiful bird I've seen since I used to get the National Geographic delivered ages ago!
  22. @Dave1290 ?? and you didn't think you deserved the DJ moniker? I just love your collection of LPs! It was either "Loco-Motion" or "Black Water" that was the first 45 that I bought! As always:
  23. All the championship gear back in Jan was black and gold, with orange and purple added on a little. (*&^#*^
  24. Dang Mike! If that's a $5.99 lunch down in `Bama I might just venture down there to with my Tigers cap on🐾! * got to finish the yard today... man it was hot, the breeze was hot too, like a convection oven. Only mid 90s but pretty muggy out, clouding up again back to the normal summertime setup around here with the renegade thunderstorms all around!
  25. No blue cheese and celery? The cucumber and onion sounds like a good side with the wings though! Do you do the bake, fry repeat ten times on yours?
