Use a photo shrinker. Click reply to add a new comment and click lower left hand corner "click to choose files". Congrats on your new speakers, excellent choice.

Here is my opinion now after they have been playing nonstop since I got them..... They are just about perfect EXCEPT they have an irritating frequency in the lower treble between 2 to 3 k that adds harshness and silibance to some recorded material that really bothers my ears...i thought that would disappear with break in, but it has not. The modded Forte 1s have nowhere near as smooth and dynamic a midrange or the bass tightness and punch that the new fortes IIIs do. The highs I woudk give a slight nod to the Forte III other than what was mentioned. This is in my room with my gear of course. I conformed this in multiple amps and speaker cables as well.

The problem there? UPS. I had fedex "fragile pack" and double box 2 crown macro reference amplifiers (monster in all regards) and shipped them INTERNATIONALLY. They arrived safely. FedEx (by me at least) uses some kind of foam instapack that fills all crevices after of course wrapping your item for protection. Works like a charm. Fedex has never damaged an item for me. UPS is almost gaurenteed to damage an item over 60 pounds or so. Just my 2 cents.

Drapes excellent idea as well and can be done for quite reasonable cost. -
Drop em off at fedex and be done with them. Have the buyer pay. Done. If I was in the market for one, it would be sold. These are excellent subs for the price IMO. GLWS on the rest.

Any one else running a Technics SL1200G?

"but the SL1200G was redesigned specifically for hifi. " Well aware, was just making a statement. 😏 -

+1. Buy the biggest area rug you can to cover your highly reflective floor. Walk around your room and clap and listen for flutter echo before and after. That huge rug alone should help very noticeably. -

Djs have always loved them for a reason. -
I always pass on items on Craigslist with no phone number for this exact reason.

Jeff is a touch difficult to get in touch with but an awesome guy to work with. I made a purchase from him in the past and have no regrets about it
-
I'm surprised Jeff from JTR didn't respond to you... Call him, rumor has it he loves Subwoofer shootouts.
-
Ah yes, Gain staging is magical (necessary) for bringing out the best in a system.
-
BTW JTR subs or danley 👍. My vote goes to danley. One large danley Powered right. "the thumper" is calling your name 😁. We have a dealer on the forum here.
-
I'm surprised you still have them. Area and no shipping maybe? Bump for a guy that makes great YouTube VIDEOS, GLWS.

Damn brotha sorry to hear. Best wishes in a quick resolution. Adorama clearly doesn't know how to ship large speakers safely. I'd avoid like the plague.

You can use your phone for anything Bluetooth. Otherwise the unit itself has about 4 or 5 line inputs I believe. Doesn't matter what they are titled. They are all the same. It also comes with a buikt in AM/FM Tuner
-
If $$$ for sound makes sense I'm always first in line. This unit is an outstanding bargain IMO
-
My mother saw them live on more than occasion and loved them
-
I don't think so man.... I just checked. Link it... I'll buy another.

For $50 I would pull the trigger immediately. Even with the 150 I spent I am very satisfied with it. Just did a 6 hour BBQ with it at volume and it was awesome.

Damn I am illogical sometimes..... Thank you for you clarifying that for me
