  1. Not sure if you can "glue" this.Wait for "more knowledgeable" people to respond. I would just replace it ... /www.ebay.com/itm/Klipsch-KG4-12-Passive-Radiator-/132622565743?_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l4275.c4#viTabs_0 Cheers, Emile
  2. OK; "dumb" question ... have my Cornwall's (series I) FLAT against my rear wall (using them as "rears," but hooked up as 2nd channel speakers with phase inversed). Fronts are KPT-904's. Really cannot "toe them in" because of position. How "bad" is my set-up? Cheers, Emile

  4. OK; got my mike at 6pm. Thanks to you taxpayers; you've paid for my postman's overtime Did a Left (purple) and a Right (green) check on my Heresy's on my AVR ... and actually got "something." Haha Hoping someone can give me a few pointers what this actually means FYI, Left (purple) side of my TV room (about 21x14x9') is "wide open" to a 20x35' space ... does that explain the lower dB (purple) on the left side? OK; continuing to "play." Cheers, Emile
  5. Haha ... is it still fun? Sitting here with cables, etc ... waiting for the mic ... Postman is already 3 hours late Jeez; going to pour myself an early glass of vino
  6. Had my KG4's on a Marantz 1060 (35W/ch) and a Marantz 2252B (52W/ch). Sounded AWESOME! But ... not familiar with the Marantz 2215
  7. Used to have a set of those ... they are awesome! Replaced the tweeter diaphragm with the titanium ones from Bob Crites ... even better Cheers, Emile
  8. Found several youtube posts re flat panels ( styrofoam, balsa, wallboard, etc ) used with "exciter speakers." looks like a fun project to try for less than $100 ... plus (if it works) might be good for surround speakers when "depth" is a problem. No clue about the sound though. Anyone experimented with these?
  9. Hi babadono ... you are a couple of days ahead of me My mic is coming tomorrow; have not downloaded software yet ... and still trying to figure out miniDSP (not bought yet) connections. Found a youtube video which helped me understand some of the basics
  10. HELP Still a bit confused about hooking up a miniDSP. Want to make sure before I buy one Using a (zone 2) pre-out from my Onkyo ZR810 into my Marantz 2252B "aux" input" and assumed I could just put it in-line there. (Instead of preamp-miniDSP-poweramp). Please advise. Many thanks, Emile
  11. OK, for those of you who have NO CLUE about this stuff (like me ) but want to learn more about it or try it ... here's a pretty good video explaining/applying mini-DSP and REW. Cheers, Emile BTW ... only bought the mic ... guess I'd better buy a mini-DSP also
  12. YEAH! My Umik mic is coming in a couple of days Think I have the same approach as you ... willing to play with my speakers, etc ... but not ready for active crossovers ... the mini-dsp is a pre-amp processor to "equalize" ( I think). Keep us posted Cheers, Emile
  13. @babadono ... keep us posted ... my microphone is coming tomorrow
  14. If anyone needs some K-53 horns ... $50 for a pair on FleaBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-PAIR-OF-KLIPSCH-K-53-HERESEY-MID-RANGE-SPEAKER-HORNS/392059758551?hash=item5b489527d7:g:UjcAAOSwWqNbDtjM
  15. Yes; I have a pair with the B&C drivers. Absolutely the best speakers I have ever owned. Wish I had "space" for a center KPT-904

    Arena concerts?

Last concert with "good" sound I attended was Pavarotti in Tampa in the late 90's. But ... probably not a good comparison with a "rock" concert.
  17. Sorry; yes ash. And ... 1000mm is about 40 inches
  18. Yeah ... will be fun when that one blows ... see plot below edit ... ASH LEVELS
  19. Yeah; wasn't going to pay $2000 Mostly wondering if it was worth an hour trip to check them out add-on: $2000 less $200 eBay fee less $300 shipping equals $1500. Maybe he'll take $1K ... need those like a hole in the head
  20. Great find! $50 cheaper than PartsExpress
  21. Found these (modified) Sunn speakers on eBay ... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Sunn-Speakers-Dual-12s-Wooden-Horn-Klipsch-K55-drivers-Altec-1209-9844-OUTDOOR/322977647433?hash=item4b32f7cb49:g:NS4AAOSwuP9aHJ6M ... $1980 ... no clue. Looks interesting (and "local" to me). Any thoughts?
  22. Hi Turbonated ... welcome to the forum You'll get a lot of good advise here ... and conflicting opinions So; here is another "opinion." I have played around with many center speakers and never was satisfied with these "dedicated - horizontal - centers." Believe a "horizontal" center is more for looks than good sound ... and due to "heavy" marketing it is almost a standard now. No center ever gets close to the sound/specs of the L/R speakers and much interference from the horizontal layout. Do some googling before you decide. For example http://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread.php?t=89614 In my case, I have Heresy's as L/R on my AVR. Found a Yamaha stage monitor SM12iv (12" woofer, 14x8" horn) and am really pleased with it. (OK; have a new Heresy "enroute" to replace it ... primarily for "looks." ) Just my 2 cents ... Cheers, Emile
