  1. I was always told "if ya have two amps and want to play, bi-amplify nothing more or disconnect everything and play!" Just an old EE's words of wisdom. I've never had a problem, I just dismiss the need or cravings to play with stuff cause he KNOWS sound.
  2. Agreed, but you never want to let them know that... Exactly why I typed it the way I did! Yet they usually find out anyway... Perceptive lil things that they are! Hahahaha
  3. I'll bring them to Hope next year! They're hers! Pack and double box??? Pfffffft!!! They're not audio equipment! 😂 😎😎
  4. We used Bogen amps in our sound booths. Never failed that I know of. Spinning tapered roller bearings for the auto-industry amplifing the sounds checking quality. Noisy bearings were kicked out of the loop. They ran 24/7...
  5. GLWS Emile, that sweetens the pot right up for someone! Nice lil package!
  6. @Tarheel Do the apple glasses go with the apple plates, the apple bowls with apple cups and saucers??? Have the apple meat platter too??? Hahaha! Try Corelle it's much simpler! Which brings me to the question: Soooo, my Johnnie Walker Green label neat in a small apple glass would pair well with an apple glass of ice water??? I had to... Have an entire box full you can have! 😂 😂 😂
  7. Downhill slide now Mike... 😂
  8. Enjoy your day Mike! The treats? Yuuuuuuuup! Those too!
  9. Had a local Pepsi Driver here who collected ANY type of vinyl for 40 years. He picked up at auctions and never played it. He had a pole barn he used to back his Pepsi truck into. Almost of of the spare wall space he had was shelved and FULL. I thought I was in a record plant when I walked into it at his auction. NOTHING organized at all and they practically gave it all away. Mostly big band, jazz, country, combo LP's. So much there and all unorganized it was just mind boggling. I left. Prolly a mistake, but at point in time it was just way too much to comprehend. It would have taken a week for me to figure it all out. Here's the kicker... He had NO STEREO system!
  10. They don't do that around here. Mostly estate auctions. They would go for a buck or two per milk crate full. Now more are buying them just thinking they can make money w/a resale or they sit on them. Hate to make the drive then come home empty handed because they went sky high. More people collecting vinyl now even if they don't play vinyl if that makes sense... From what I saw there should be some good stuff in there but as soon as you show up and start looking ppl notice. Then some moron tries to run the price up on you. If you don't look then you could wind up getting crates of garbage. It's just a crap shoot for the most part. Perhaps this link will work for you there: https://www.auctionzip.com/cgi-bin/photopanel.cgi?listingid=3143342&category=0&zip=44820&kwd= Let me know if it does.
  11. Brush/roll & a cigar roller works like a dream... Skin down to your Jockey's, crank it up and have your cooler stocked nearby. Neighbors show up to comment, offer them a couple beers and they'll feel obligated to help... NOT! 😂
  12. Looks like a great crowd, great food coupled w/great sounds. The day? Perfect! Know you all had a good time... Congrats!
  13. Decisions, decisions... Just saw an auction listing and the guy had no system but listed 6 milk crates of late 60's and 70's LP's. Hour each way drive time... 5 years ago could have picked it all up for $20. Today, who knows. Naturally he had about 6 pics showing, Dylan (spelled Dillon), Stones, Beatles, Who and the rest showing the crates... Just what I need MORE vinyl but I did see a few I don't have. Around here the morons starting lil record shops are hitting auctions, GoodWill buying stuff cheap and re-selling. Busy week here so I guess we'll see... Yea, I'll prolly go... Maybe!
  14. Welcome to the Forum! Nice looking gear!!! Enjoy!
  15. The biggest grin was last night while listening for the first time. Looking was fun but listening was amazing. Yea, you guys are sick puppies but in a good kinda way. Had about 40 working for me so I "get it!" hahahahahaha Keep your grin on!
  16. They look great and knowing this place they''ll only get better... Always nice watching a proud machinist grin looking at what they made! Kudos and good luck!
  17. I was actually thinking along that line somewhat... Plant those MCM's on the beach somewhere, live in a couple during the off season, then fire them up when the time is right. You'd be legendary... "Hey, remember that old guy who used to have ALL those big speakers and was taking contributions? Whatever happened to him anyway?"
  18. Looks great now and I can only imagine how good the finished product will be!
  19. Better you ask than me... I was TRYing to keep it from going there but knew it would!!! Awful quiet but he's loading his guns... 😂
  20. Always nice to sit back and smile watching the one who made the comment sit back and commit Hari-kari as he crawls outta the hole he just dug for himself. Still love ya brother! Been there once or twice myself!!! We get to hear about the girl and the French press next??? 😂😂😎
  21. Going to be interesting to see where this statement goes... 😂 😂 😂
  22. I saw her so many times at the old Roostertail Supper Club in Detroit. She hit the high note and rattled the glass. Always my Queen!
