    What I Got Today!

Smirks and just scrolls on down... GO BUCKS! Nice speaker hauler though!
  3. Relax Skelt, he'll be heading down this way in a couple weeks to load up on brats. I set the hook and now just reeling him in slowly... hahahaha
  4. Just hangin out this afternoon. v
  5. Would be cool in the country to own by itself but the HVAC bills? Talk about a home theater or a fantastic 2-channel system? NYE parties would be killer. Bodies everywhere in the morning. hahaha
  6. At 70, I'd look like a Kia Soul rollin down the highways here today. hahahaha Thanks for the kind words and thoughts though! Stop in, bring your cash and you can ride it home! lolol Kids today are clueless and have even less money! lol
  7. Gotta treat it like a stray dog I tell ya... Don't feed it and maybe it'll go away. Doubtful but maybe. ALWAYS a bit humourous slippin in here. Perhaps moving it to "Jokes?"
  8. My poor Schwinn Le Tour. She looks so pathetic just hanging there. Longest cruise for me was with a couple buddies. Here to Grayling, MI in 3 days to canoe and camp then back home. A LONG haul yet survived it somehow. 20 years ago. Every month I turn the crank and spin the tires. Then tell myself I'm gonna start riding again. As if! lol
  9. Sure you weren't @ the Sunset Grill? hahahaha
  10. Don't forget to buckle up and put your helmet on before even THINKING about leaning back! 😂
  11. Good luck w/both the kittens and your wife's singing! I can't carry a tune in a bucket anymore!
  12. Welcome to the forum. Nice catch right there. FINALLY got my pair of 1981 LS! I know EXACTLY what you're feeling! Again, welcome to the gaggle. Great group of guys right here!
  13. 100 compression... Thin skin for da win! Always!
  14. DJ moniker? Hahaha... There's a bit of a back story there but I won't get into it. Let's just say I had tons of 45's (all ripped off boxed up for the thieves, a few left though) but the majority of every nickel I made in high school and college went into LP's. I played the 45's and rarely changed to LP's because 45's were simple to play. I knew what I liked and what other's liked so that was the deal. I was the rebel who didn't listen and drove to Detroit to the Roostertail every Sunday evening for teen nite listening to Motown. I'd roll into a 90% all black venue w/whoever I could drag along. Sure I had ppl ask what I was doing there but we were all there for one thing. The music! I met so many people there it was unreal and today it's totally insane thinking about it. Barry Gordy knew just as everyone else knew. It was OUR sound and look where everything went after that. I still kept collecting, and I'm not gonna sit here and write a novel. lol Tons of things happened in my life during and after Motown. Funny thing happened a while back. A kid started playing keyboards about 10-12 years ago and had NO training whatsoever. Buddies kid and a few others decided they'd form a band. Never laffed so hard in my life but I heard the kid play his B3 & Leslie with some guys a few weeks ago and he wasn't half bad. So I decided to tell him he wasn't too bad. ONLY because I know my buddies kid told him long ago I thought he sucked. So on break I walked up, shook his hand and told him after all these years he was on it. He laffed and said, "Well I might be on it but you do know you're a legend with all of the things you've done and the people you know." I actually laffed my *** off. Yea, legendary, sure np at all. hahaha Ronnie Montrose could wail with the best of 'em and ya toss Sammy into the mix??? They were BOTH defiant as heck. If ya told them NO they'd do it just for spite. Like so many of them. Last time I saw him was at a smaller venue I think near OSU in Cbus years ago. Another one gone too soon. I just throw things on as I find them now. Loved LS in the day and now it's @ a totally new level so yea, it's fun! Great seeing everyone posting things I don't have cause I don't have 'em all. Now I guess it's time to throw some Montrose on! Thanks for that man!
  15. Mike, you don't by chance have stock in Bubba Gump do you? Asking for a friend!
  16. Ever start nosin and all of a sudden something jumps out at ya? Yea, you've got most of the albums and you want to just throw them all on and go? Easy way out for me today was another "Best of" album from 1973. Randy California grabbed a handful of guys and started jammin in 1967 with hit after hit. After all, West coast music didn't take long to get to Ohio and corrupt all of us innocent, law-abiding youngins! So yea I cranked it and found myself singin along. Sounded even better today than "yesterday!" Yup, happened a bit later too! Grand Funk Hits from 1973. The group from Flint, Michigan is just a tad closer to home for me.
  17. Yup, Carmel and New Palestine. Remember the Carmel now just couldn't think of it. New Palestine was the other one. Love Indy. Spent too much time @ Ft Ben I guess. lol
  18. @Ceptorman which one? I know of one near Indy but can't remember the name. Was told he had the kids believing in themselves and they were tough. Used to be one on the North side of Indy that started w/a C but can't even remember who that was. lol
  19. Some statistical food for thought as a new college football season approaches: Overall records the past 10 seasons … Remember that seven of those 19 Ohio State losses happened in one season (2011, between Jim Tressel's departure and Urban Meyer's arrival) when interim coach Luke Fickell stepped in at the last minute …. 1 Alabama 127-13 2 Ohio State 115-19 3 Boise St 109-24 4 Clemson 112-27 5 Oklahoma 105-28 6 Stanford 102-32 7 Wisconsin 102-33 8 LSU 97-32 9 Oregon 99-33 10 Florida St 97-36
  20. If only they looked that good all the time!
  21. Gonna be a "New Day" in Cbus this year with Ryan Day replacing Urban Meyer. Even picked up a couple U of M Coaches who "jumped ship" in the off season. They are workin well in the scheme and respected by all. U of M picked up a "cast-off" from OSU so we'll have to sit back and see how that pans out for them. Good man but just didn't fit Day's program so we'll see. He definitely didn't fit in Coach Day's plans. Justin Fields named as the starting QB, receivers are on point as well as the O and D Lines. The supposed "weak spot" is in the LB's but I think that will repair itself as the season progresses. It's a game at a time here and I really can't believe Blue is shooting off their mouths already. The "revenge" tour was an epic fail last year. It's game by game but there are MANY good teams on the OSU schedule this year and you can't count on a win every week yet you "expect" it. "On ANY given day" is always there haunting you. Pre-season picks are out the window it's the END of season stats that mean the most. Yup, haters gonna hate and I love it! We're bringin it that I do know! Peace, Love, Dove! GO BUCKS!
  22. Yup, being totally worthless today! Jefferson Starship with "Bless Its Pointed Little Head" recorded at both the Fillmore East & West. Works for me! December 1966 was the first time the songwriting duo of Neil Young & Stephen Stills worked together before they hit the big time! Buffalo Springfield filled the void for many on the West Coast looking for a little folk rock. J.J. Cale from 1972 with "Really." Another great one gone too soon. "Toulouse Street" is the second album by the Doobie Brothers released on July 1, 1972 so it was just in time for the 4th of July and it hit the charts heavy! Always a go to favorite of mine! They just rock it out!
  23. Peaberry's, Chiapas. What the what? Just keep a brewin in that old iron cauldron big dog!
