No links on first post. Review TOS and make sure it doesn't violate it, repost if you are sure. Dave
  4. Post at will. No links allowed on first post. Dave
  5. From the translation it's had to tell if you are trying to sell or buy. My guess is buy. Please provide a translation as the vast majority of those here do not speak French. " "Hello, Unfortunately ... I have a problem with a woofer from my klf20. The problem is known that I cannot find in France. Would you be able to sell them? Thank you in advance! Best regards Vincent"
  6. Link removed as we do not allow them on first posts as we have no time to ensure they are safe. Review TOS and then repost the link if you are sure it's OK. Welcome to the forum and post at will. Dave
  7. It will be approved, but without the link. Assuming the link meets the TOS (review them before posting), you may repost it once this one is up. The reason is that mods do not have the time to check every link. Post at will... Dave
  8. Wow! More than welcome to the Forum... I'd suggest you contact @Chief bonehead about your question. Dave
  9. For a person who has not left my yard in 12 days that is a very wonderful fantasy. With the exception of the Speedo comment, which made me gag, it's everything I hope for when we meet again in a brave new world. It is going to be different but most of us will be the same. Laws of physics won't have changed and neither will our loudspeakers. Dave
  10. Rarely felt any issues with thread drift, but COVID19 is closer to WWII than any other event in my lifetime and a direct threat to me due to age and other issues so I do not want this one to go away and I want input from folks I trust...the Klipsch Klan. Dave
  11. I didn't go through the whole thing, and yes, it's veered south several times...but I'd just suggest that all posting stick to the topic, both serious and humorous (being under self quarantine and only out in the yard for 6 days, a bit of gallows humor is welcome) and the mods hide and warn as needed rather that applying the ol' lock. Dave
  12. Med MJ Dispensaries are still open in Texarkana. No good for the virus but might as well die happy. Dave
  13. Lack of installation experience is the rule, not the exception. Just like with pipe organs one should never engage a speaker installation firm without hearing several of their previous installations first. Any experienced audiophile can, with enough time to fiddle, handle a single or dual PA installation by simply starting with one, getting it transparent and to the point most can't immediately find it, then adding the other and repeating the process. Ear testing has to be done from every position in the audience area. When it is a very large installation and conditions call for more speakers, real expertise in PA installation is required. True experts are VERY hard to find and cheap ones are not good, and good ones may cost a significant fraction of the equipment. But failure to get it right will make the entire expenditure not only a waste but also create worse conditions than before. Dave
  14. Wouldn't touch them if I were you. If there was better match Klipsch would be using them. Dave
  15. Please translate to English before posting. Few here can even recognize Romanian much less read it. I've done so for you this time. Bine ați venit la forum! Dave
  16. We really try to keep this both an open space and one free of spam and drama. Dave
  17. No. You can post product links but but if you do mainly that and for only one or a couple of sites you may be monitored to determine whether you are touting something you have an interest in. You may post freely now... We just don't have time to check every link on first post, so most of us delete them. You may repost those links now if you wish. Dave
  18. No links in first post to anything commercial. You may post now but review the TOS first. Dave
  19. Sorry Master Wordsmith. I've been busy and missed it somehow. See below...

  21. OUTSTANDING! Truly the king of instruments. The most complex machines built by humans before the computer. But unlike computers good forever when maintained. Looking forward to hearing this one, @Dave A. As to performances of the T&F in D minor, agreed on Biggs but must add the completely differnent and stunning performance by Virgil Fox on the legendary Crystal Clear direct to disc. If I bring a TT I may bring that one. Have it in DSF I recorded as well so it will be there if I am. Dave
  22. I will keep that in mind. I have a decent one that travels well. Dave
  23. While I have a couple of things to share on LP I am not sure I wish to do so to the point of bringing one in hopes someone has a preamp. I'll give it some thought... Dave
  24. Every speaker spaced out means more expertise has to be brought to bear to ensure that the amplified sound arrives with maximum timing correction to each location. Otherwise, you make the situation worse by having those with compromised hearing further confused by timing errors. One of the first Heresy ads featured a single Heresy mounted high above about a 350 reverberant sanctuary and the headline was "everybody thought the minister was just speaking louder." It is my parish, and the speaker still hangs there and is still acoustically invisible. Point is, it is NOT the number of speakers...which can make things worse, but their location and certainly their absolute accuracy that makes the difference. If you immediately detect the speakers as the source of what you are hearing, you need a better engineer. Dave
