Just power them on and enjoy.
-
How were you able to hook them up in mono?

PSE class A, so it is ~ 7 watts? Or a miracle of modern technology? AB1 PP 13 watts makes sense; both .au and .eu have AB1 and 13 watts in specifications. Who makes a parallel DHT amplifier class AB?

The wire from 1982 in my CWs is zip cord, but no one would use it for a lamp since it is white with a lot of red and black markings.
-
In this case it is about 2 (or more) conductor wire that can be easily separated.
-
Do you have one or just thinking about buying one? How loud (spl dBs) do you listen and how far from the speakers?
-
QAcoustics and Vandersteen have some info (note I have a pair of speakers that are capable, but are single wired). https://www.qacoustics.co.uk/blog/2016/06/08/bi-wiring-speakers-exploration-benefits/ https://www.vandersteen.com/support/faqs. you need to scroll down here

Err, what? I currently have 3 tube amplifiers* (2 are tube rectified), my ss class ab amps are only used for a couple (hot) months. Came to this thread looking for some discussion on tube rectifiers (thanks @captainbeefheart), not someone to tell me how solid state is better and cheaper. *have owned many, many more

You must be smoking the same stuff as the seller in the US Audio Mart link above. Asking/selling prices are going up on everything, not just Klipsch.
-
Sorry, I didn't realize this thread is all about you and your opinions (that was not indicated in the tittle). I will move on now.
-
"SS is better" ? It is no more than an opinion.

AFAIK they have had posts that accept banana plugs for at least 20 years. I had a pair of Mid Monos a couple of years ago, nice amps. Mike recommends using spades. See picture. http://quicksilveraudio.com/products/horn-mono-amp/ Picture from a Stereophile review 2002 https://www.stereophile.com/tubepoweramps/581/index.html

If you are thinking about raising your budget....... Analog Ethos has some singled ended amps available as kits or assembled. https://www.analogethos.com/shop Here is thread on a Legendarium 2A3 build and some thoughts on its sound: https://www.audiokarma.org/forums/index.php?threads/analog-ethos-legendarium-2a3-set-kit.1005719/#post-15846213

@Islander The only thing I don't like about his new bike is that it's not in my garage. :-) PS I don't ride anymore due to a slight vertigo/balance problem at times.

I didn't even notice the engine and had to look at the picture again after I read your post. Still feel like I'm searching for a hidden treasure. 😉 Former SV650 owner, do like a V twin sport bike.

Never heard a Dynaco (but have owned many other tube amps), but you have mentioned not getting enough character without a tube pre, I'm not sure I understand what you mean??? I use solid state preamps with my tube amps, I have seen a number of others that say they do also, we obviously feel we are benefiting by using a tube amp. FYI some tube "integrated amps" are no more than a tube amp with a volume pot and extra inputs.

I think the Boyuurange A50 may be a waste of money unless you plan to do some mods to it. https://www.diyaudio.com/community/threads/boyuurange-a50-300b-review-mods-series.375391/
