Also you can hear some very good street musicians in the French Quarter. We found out if you want to hear Jazz you have to get down there early, the last bunch of times we went down there we got there late and all that was left in the clubs were " house bands " mostly rock. They really need to have more jazz clubs back in the Quarter, and less tee shirt and junk shops.

Could not get the Superbowl in HD here. Local cable [ Charter ] here has NO HD, we have Dish Network . Dish Network or Direct TV don't offer Locals in HD in our area ! Also we live on the Fringe of weather we should get OTA, and its only a couple of stations, so not worth wasting the money. I would be willing to pay extra for local HD but we have no choice. It's aggravating to see shows saying presented in HD, but no way to view it that way ! It's a racket at best ! .......In all the stores selling new TVs they don't bother to tell customers how little HD is really available. Had this TV for 2 years now and with Dish we get the most channels available from anyone provider and in 2 years we might have picked up 2 extra channels. And we have the old Voom channels, without them it would be really sorry. But they are all still saying by year 200? we will have ??? number of channels, when it comes on the TV I will belive it. I guess that's what we get for letting the goverment get involved. OK done whining now !

Stopped yesterday $1.97 for regular, but I had to diesel in the tractor also, $ 2.54 for the diesel ? Diesel was cheaper than gas until about year ago ? One good thing I can run the tractor non stop for 2 days on 5 gallons , wish my truck could do that !

Sometimes I play my Yamaha and Forte's just because I feel guilty for not using it as much as I used too. One day I want to hook up my Forte ll's to it just to hear how they sound with the 930.

I think all the Forte and Forte ll's have the same color grill , I have never seen a different color. Edit: I didn't know that Oldtimer, If I ever get energetic I might try all cane grills, they look great on bigger Heritage, I don't know how they would look on Forte ll's though.

And Fini can sing too, what can't he do ? Wow, not to many people out there that looks like a wrestler and can sing too.

If it looks good to you what else matters ? Cheap price, by the time you get tired of that one the new ones will have gone down in price even more. When VCR's first came out I bought a cheap one and it was $ 350, and all it did was play, now they are $ 25. A year and a half ago a 42" plasma was over $ 4000 now less than half of that.

You know what this thread reminds me of ? ................. I think it was a contest Klipsch put on a few years ago asking people to tell a story about when you first heard or owned Klipsch speakers. There were some very good stories entered in the contest, I can't recall how long ago it was, but it had some very good stories. Anybody remember any more details, I can just recall some of the stories were great .

I don't know, but can a oak speaker be lightly sanded and stained darker like walnut. I know you can see the difference in some wood grain but how close is walnut to oak ? I just looked at my Oak f ll's and my C lll's in walnut and the grain is very close, maby just those particular speakers are close ? The only reason I ask is it seems there are more oak than walnut, or it's just a phase in sales lately ? Welcome to the forum, California is a good place to be if looking for used Klipsch, it always looks like more seem to show up there than almost anywhere. Keep looking it shouldn't take long to find a nice pair out there on the left coast.

Congratulations and don't forget to take many pictures, they grow up very fast, and before you know it they are teenagers and know everything.

Sorry to hear about your shoulder, I had the same problem. About 15 years ago I fell playing baseball and tore my clavicle bone also. The first doctor at the emergency room said surgery and sent me to another doctor. The second doctor also said surgery but wanted me to see a orthopedic surgeon. When I went to see the orthopedic surgeon he said I had two choices, surgery or just leave it alone and the worst that would happen would be that I may get arthritis there when I get older, and when I relax my shoulder there will be a bump where the clavicle bone would have connected . At this point I was not in pain anymore so I figured leave it alone and the worse that would happen is I would have to have it fixed later. It's been 15 years and I have never had any problems again, there is a bump there when I relax my shoulder, like he said. If you are in pain yours may be separated a little different than mine and may not have a choice , but bet a second opinion, and try an orthopedic surgeon if possible.? Either way good luck ! And the counter looks very nice.
