  1. Like the commercial " I want it all ".
  2. Thought it was a little quiet around here ! [] Great pictures, and thanks for your service ! [Y] That's the ultimate trust, you pack the parachutes they jump, nice job. [ap]
  3. You should feel special Michael you posted 2 letters and it's now 3 pages long ! []
  4. A common sense cat ! One part that is a little confusing is if proper " stereo " is left and right, a good sound stage, the ability to feel depth of different instruments and there placement and a whole list of other things why is this only good for stereo ? Why is it that some will only have a 2 ch setup because " that's how it should be " without the other gimmicks of multi channel. There are plenty enough gimmicks in 2 ch, like trying to make a 2 ch recording sound like real life, your ears hear more than just from one direction. I know I have heard some 2 ch recordings that can make you turn around and look over your shoulder thinking you heard something, which is great but most recording don't do that. I don't think multi channel is the answer to everything but why do some simply toss it out, is that the same attitude that happened when that new fangled thing came out called stereo 2 ch, did the mono people say it's just a gimmick ? I would say the problem is not with multi channel but in recording overall, almost no standards and an overall just get it copied so we can sell it attitude. I would think multi channel could be done as well or even better than 2 ch if there were just a few standards set for recording for both. I would guess that 75% of the problems with audio today could be fixed with the recording, and it has nothing to do with if it's an LP, CD or tape, ( for the most part ).................the other 25% is lack of talent for the most part. IMO
  5. Sounds like you have a good plan, only one part you might want to recheck... the part in October, marriage! [:#] Just kidding.......especialy if she will help pay for the house and hobbies....then Congratulations. []
  6. Klipsch rarely gets the recognition they deserve and it's partly due to the people who never would listen to a horn speaker just because it a horn speaker.
  7. I have been reading this thing from the beginning with kind of a sick feeling knowing I couldn't make it, I know everyone will have a good time in the park. Wish I could be there but if nothing else I hope everything goes off perfectly and everyone has a good time, have fun and we will be waiting for a full report. Also Michael it's really nice what your doing for the kids, and Indy by giving the kids a chance to preform with a real audio setup, the kids will flip when they see/hear this setup they can play through ! [H]
  8. Hand grenades beats a guns for close range ! IMO []
  9. Compact pistol, no thanks I want a big one, actually I don't even own one anymore but I do have a 12GA shotgun with a VERY short barrel and pistol grip that only gets 3" magnum 00 buckshot, for intruders only one shot required, then a garden hose to clean up. Never been to a gun safety class or accidentally ever shot anything unintentionally, my Dad gave me the gun when I was about 12 for duck hunting, modified it later.
  10. Yes he did, but on his end he picked up on them also, I have to say he is a strong sucker the way he jerked them off the ground ! [:|]
  11. Sounds like one of the big speaker companies that advertise on TV alot !
  12. [] Well groupie sounds better than obsessed loons ?
  13. Spotted a pair of KPT-MCM-4-T Grand in a U-haul going up I-59 to Georgia this past weekend, after getting a minor hernia ! []
  14. Never heard the new album but he was on one of the HD channels the other night and was unbelievable.
  15. Thats funny. If they are in the house already they do sell those little plastic "somewhat humane" live traps. I used one a few years ago and the reason I said somewhat was once the mouse was in there you would have to pick it up to release it outside, the trap was clear plastic and when you picked it up the mouse goes nuts and is not happy about being moved and kind of panics and almost dies of stress. And having a mouse brain it probably comes right back in the house so the both of you can continue the never ending game .
  16. I have those MWM bass bins I built in the house now and until I get amps to go with the 402 and dx38 I have already they are dead. In the workshop I have two single MWM's with a box built like the split LaScala tops with the k400/k55 mid and Bobs tweeters with AA crossovers built in the box and I just use one bass bin with each top. I was going to use those tops on the bins inside which is 2 bins on each channel, until I get a couple of amps or one 4 or 5 channel amp. It may only be a couple of weeks until I can get amps so I did not want to change the crossovers because they will go back in the workshop.
  17. Can a AA crossover be used without any changes with two of the Bob Crites cast frame woofers they are 4 ohm each ? It will be a temporary set up so I don't want to change the crossovers.
  18. That's a very good way to put it for me as well. For me also, I have alot more patience to listen to different music than I had when younger. I really need to start buying more music, I wish a cheap way to get Internet radio was here, I would guess that's the future, but the quality will have to be there.
  19. You'll need to fill out an application No need, Richard does not have the ear lobs for it LOL Richard would only need one model in his showroom, ya know how he is. []
  20. Congratulations and best of luck with the job and the move.
  21. Been waiting for this day for a year, Michael has set a new record for buying Jubilee's and not listening to them for a YEAR! [] I know you have plenty of speakers to listen to, but a year, you have way more patience than me. I know you heard them before but not in your room with your music.
  22. [:$] Now that is funny. [] Sorry about the forte, heck take a screwdriver to it and look at the crossover also, probably fried the horns also. Open it up, what damage could you do, you already caught it on fire and put it out with a water hose in the rain ! [:|] Thanks for the tip.....don't buy Adcom ! [:'(]
  23. That was my specialty on the dive team in high school. []
  24. That's nice looking Altecs ! If you were sure you wanted to stand them up all you would have to do is not cut off the extra wood from the top and bottom sheet of each cabinet (one end only) and it would make like legs. Add a brace between the two ends, just to stop any vibrations, you would have a 67'' tall bass cabinet ! They would look just like the Altecs if you were to cut the back top off at the angle like the MWM cabinet.
