  1. Not something many talk about in public but it is real and more widespread than you would think. I would think many people here has had it for a long time even if they are a little embarrassed to admit it. It's kind of a strange flu, when around others most people will catch it but there are a few who will never get it for some reason. They came out with something years ago to try and slow the spread, ( bose cubes) the general public bought into it in masses. That cure never really worked, it only tends to suppress the symptoms until that strain of flu comes in contact with a much better form of transmitter, then theres no going back to the cube treatment. Although sales of the cube treatment is still high it's widely known to only get you by and does not cure the problem which seems unstoppable ! [8]
  2. Your wife did that, [] I thought you did it, tell her she did a very nice job. I know thats tough work those rocks get heavy after a while and even with your Backhoe it's still mostly done by hand.
  3. Steve I like that idea, it's nice to get out and walk like that especially on a nice looking trail along a river and away from everything. Good idea and sorry to hear about your Aunt Susie.
  4. Odawa, I get it now....after looking it up [:$] ....[Y]......cool eh...[]
  5. We have both, but I have only compared them once, and to be honest there is not a big difference. I have to say I would not think Klipsch would have made a version ll without some improvements so I would think my ears are not the best to judge the difference( fact). If looking I would go with the ll version but either are very nice, and don't rule out the Chorus 1 or 2. I don't think you can go wrong with any of these.
  6. That's what I was thinking DD, good job on the stone. And all this time I thought this thread was about your wife .
  7. After looking at what some people have on this forum it's easy to think like that, BUT think about what the average person has if anything at all. How many people have those home theater in a box things with the little plastic computer looking speakers with the 2 dollar driver in it ? My son in law has one of the smallest Klipsch they made ( I think ), Quintets, 5 little speakers I would put up against any HTIB, they sound amazing. So just having Klipsch puts your Ht ahead of many out there ! I have to ask what is Peshewah ? Sounds like an Indian name for something ?
  8. You always seem to surprise me, in a good way, I like that pic of you and your sweet spot. [Y]
  9. What have you been feeding that little guy, he looks like a small horse now. ( you really are good with photo shop ) [] I just like to give Coytee a hard time, I know he has a wife...or did he decorate with all that flowery stuff ? I think we had seen his wife somewhat, maby if you squint a little in his vacation pic's, so he claimed.... I don't blame her for decorating with flowers and girlie stuff, she lives in the middle of the woods, and has to make up for those big black speakers.
  10. You need to get you some big outdoor speakers and blast the banjo song from the movie into that valley, bet there will be no one camping or hiking after that. The question was How many Klipsch heads does it take to tell Coytee where to go....well although not a Klipsch head his wife has told him where to go, like when he brought those big ugly speakers into the house. I do wonder if there is really a Mrs Coytee no one has ever seen her, I think he just made that up ?
  11. Russ I think my wife has an ear back there, she can hear me mumble something from 50' !
  12. I was thinking about what you said and I have the 730 Yamaha which I also like, I thought about just adding one of Emotivas 3 or 5 channel amp's, I think the RX-V730 is only like 75 WPC. But it will have to wait, I am trying to get there 2 Ch pre amp and the XPA-5 for another project.
  13. Humorous , no way, I also have Forte ll's set up for Ht and considering price, size and sound quality I don't think it gets any better. There are alot of people who have never heard the Forte ll, it is one of the best all a round speakers Klipsch produced. IMO
  14. I can't really help picking out an amp but I think your amp is 130 WPC if I read it right. That's not bad at all I would guess it should do fine for music also. A bigger amp would probably sound better but not required.
  15. I am really sorry to hear about all of this, you have helped me and many other people and I really enjoyed your articles. All that really matters right now is you, don't let the [bs] get to you, I had no idea you were getting emails and calls every day I could see how that could get old fast.
  16. You bunch of crazy Californians ![]
  17. Until someone who knows about the KLF 20's shows up, what about taking out a driver, or if the back can can come off look inside and see if something came loose and is causing a vibration, like a wire or some models have sound deadening material inside ? It's probably that no good Sansui, sent it to me and get something worth having ! Just kidding I at one time had the 8080 and loved it, I should have kept it, I sold it because some light's went out and moved on to other brands== bad move.
  18. What is going on with them ? I don't know anything about the KLF 20, but if the problem is a driver not working or cutting in and out I may know what the problem is. I had the same problem with a pair of Forte ll's, it turned out to be a bad connection of the wires. They were very tight on the little ears but they were not making contact. I took them off and on a few times and they did nothing, I then unplugged them and cleaned them and they started working. As tight as they were I have no idea how they were not making contact but they were not until I cleaned them. I thought I had a bad crossover or driver also. If this is not your problem, someone else will answer this thread or you could always call Klipsch, they also have people to help with stuff like this.
  19. Easy fix, just tell your son to call Klipsch and order a nice pair of Heritage, problem solved ! []
  20. You people out there in California never take a break, as soon as you get done with forest fires you have mud slides, then you get bored and have a few earthquakes then back to fires and just for fun throw in some Santa Ana winds just to keep it exciting. [:S] So what's the deal everyone out there is just not happy with the perfect weather and beautiful scenery most of your state has ? []
  21. If you had enough granite you could build a Free standing rack that would let the granite slide in like a shelf. To keep it from being top heavy, design it where the bottom shelf would hold like two or three slabs of granite. Or just build and then have some sort of bracket that could bolt to the wall to keep it from falling forward. You could also design it where there are three shelves wide at the bottom then the next shelf is two shelves wide with a top, one shelf wide, pyramid shape?
  22. Happy late Birthday, my vote is he is a myth ?
  23. I keep going back to this Cd lately, I have not listened to it in a long time and for the last week I find myself going back to listen whenever i don't know what I want to listen to. Steve Winwood, Refugees of the heart. 1990
  24. WELL Mr Jhoak everyone proved me wrong you got some answers here, MOST of the time there is more traffic in the other sections. I like some of the answers you got, I am going to see if I have a couple of those to try them out.
