Chicago_Pete
Hi guys, haven't posted for a while but have been lurking and reading. Long story short, I couldn't resist a local pair of CWs. Walnut I guess? Absolutely beautiful grain and razor sharp corners. It was obvious that the previous owner took great care of them. So what year are these gems? fini
1986, Pete.

HudsonValleyNoah
Those be Cornwall IIs, Pete! Those have Cornwall I labels but are there listed as Cornwall II and with a 1986 build date, it makes sense... Nice score!
Chicago_Pete
Thanks for the information guys. Yes Bill, I did find them on Craigslist. Seller was asking $750. I didn't even try to haggle, thought it was a good price. Here's a few pics, I hope to get them setup today. Gotta move the Christmas tree first without destroying it:)

RT FAN
Very minty Cornwall II's, congratulations. I'm sure they will sound just as fine as they look. Nothing like buying your own Christmas presents! []

capo72
Beautiful grain, very nice sheen, a very good score indeed. I would argue that you have one of the best man caves on this forum, Pete. If you ever decide to get rid of these Corns, put me on the list. That is some of the nicest walnut grain I have seen! Jeremy

Chicago_Pete
Thanks for the compliments.Got them hooked up tonight and they sound really good.Glad there are no issues since I didn't audition them before buying.Jeremy I don't think I will be selling them soon but I will put you first in line.Could hook you up with a speaker project:)I parted out these JBL cabs, populate them with Klipsch drivers for CW clones. The best, Pete
Groomlakearea51
Pete, What model are those JBL cabs? Thanks/ marshall
kaiser SET say
Too narrow to be L300 Summits! Nice score Pete, they are BEAUTIFUL[]
Chicago_Pete
Thanks Kaiser. Marshall, a cabinet maker friend of mine built those. He did an excellent job. 1" MDF with golden oak veneer, the motor board is 3/4 ply. These things weigh a ton empty. 22 x 15 x 36, a little too narrow for CWs. Cost me more empty than my new Cornwalls:)
skonopa
Thanks for the information guys. Yes Bill, I did find them on Craigslist. Seller was asking $750. That is exactly what I hope to find for my own two-channel rig! Gorgeous speakers, and I bet they sound as awesome as they look. I am filled with envy seeing those. colterphoto1
dang those are sweeet. Nice sheen, either lacquered or freshly oiled? How were those JBL's? Can't believe you'd part them out though. M
Chicago_Pete
Thanks Russ and Steve.Michael, always felt the JBLs were a little shy on bass.I tried to sell them twice on ebay and not a single offer.Parting them out was the way to go.JBL drivers fetch crazy money. The sheen was fresh oil, this pic is after they soaked it up.
