I have two pairs -- this pair is not being used and is just taking up floor space in the HT room. You can read all about them and see pictures here. They aren't being advertised anywhere else, yet. Shame on me...I actually refinish furniture, solid wood,I dont do veneers..and my speakers look like they have been drop kicked from coast to coast several times (perhaps it's because they have)... chickey Posted May 6, 2002 Share Posted May 6, 2002 Jhawk -- Yep, looks like an Academy is on its way to NJ (at least it should be once the seller receives and clears the check). He didn't have a digital camera, though, so I'm a little anxious regarding cosmetics. He said it had normal wear and tear, just a question of what's defined as "normal." Since the wife will only let these "huge" (her words) speakers into her living room as long as they look presentable, I may need to exercise the refinishing option. We'll see. I'd like to get a feel for what I'm looking at (hassle and expense wise) if I go down that route.
