stormin
From speaking with Klipsch parts it appears that I bought the last two K-31-E woofers available. This is not good news if true. Has anyone else heard this? I thought the Jubilee used the same woofer? Are they not making that woofer available to KLF 30 customers anymore? Probably because they sold more k31 woofers than there were KLF30's produced.

Well thats what happens when so many of them go up in smoke. You sure don't hear the same stories with the K-48. hmmmmmmmm
PrestonTom
If you guys are looking for 12 inch woofers for Jubilee-like experiments, I believe that Bob Crites has some woofers with acceptible T/S parameters. Otherwise, it is difficult to find correct ones.
seti
K31's are awesome. I want a pair of KLF30's. I never seem to have the money when they are available but I'll have to be gentle with them when I do.

SWL
Were KLF 30's built with a second life time in mind? They should bring them back... with a proper build this time.
rennoc442
IF they ever did remake them, wow look out! I would be buying a pair on the spot!
RRFL
IF they ever did remake them, wow look out! I would be buying a pair on the spot! The Jubilee have K-31-E The KLF have K-31-K
PrestonTom
Same driver with the same specs. The letter at the end indicates the specific manufacturer.
stormin
The Jubilee have K-31-E The KLF have K-31-K The original driver for the KLF 30's was the K the later models came with the E. (edit) Tom just said that. So if these drivers are being sold for Jubilees why is Klipsch parts saying they are unavailable for KLF 30 users? RRFL
So that means if I get a replacement jub for my damaged one the drivers will be different, awe.
PrestonTom
So that means if I get a replacement jub for my damaged one the drivers will be different, awe. No, it means tha it is the same driver with the same specs, but made by a different vendor. Are there going to be significant differences because of that? I doubt it. pzannucci
I had purchased 4 woofers for KLF-20s. They were mixed between K and E. When I measured them they were all different which is typical, even E to E. They were all reasonbly in the spec range though.

Bill W.
That is consistent with the labeling on other in-house speaker production.

I'm a keep it matched person so just knowing that they are different will provoke concerns, lol. Fortunately, there are stairs leading down to my front door on one side of the room so this will help me sleep at night, haha. The power amps I selected to drive my jubs are a matched pair with consecutive serial numbers. Not that this means anything my Star sign is Libran, haha.
