boa12
still using the charbroiler i acquired from girlfriend 10 yrs ago. she stuck me w/ her half of the counseling sessions so i kept the grill at my place. i was at the klipsch dealer poking around today & saw some huge rocks sitting on a cart. turns out they're outdoor speakers - rockoustics. they didn't have them wired but imagine the resonance is nil. these things are big, solid rocks w/ speakers in 'em. said they also have bird feeder speakers. cook 'em good. ------------------ My Home Systems Page

Audible Nectar
Soundjunkie said: "What will you be cooking your favorite steak on?" Grilling here is a year round thing. If there's not 6" or more snow on the ground, the grill is in operation. I use a gas unit installed next to the deck. The real fun begins when traveling for the summer concert season - the 18x12 inch portable grill goes along for those trips. When one can prepare the full spread on one of these (BBQ ribs, corn in the shuck, baked beans, sauteed/grilled mushrooms) you have achieved the status of grillmeister. Not to mention the accolades from your traveling companions, who would not have eaten so well on the road otherwise Here's a secret weapon: Get a bottle of red wine and vinegar dressing - there's several bottled varieties that work fine, or make your own. Get a tupperware or disposable container and drop 4-6 steaks in it, along with the dressing. Drop it in a cooler or fridge and let 'em soak as long as possible - I do this in the morning before the big game or show. Grill 'em! SOUNDJUNKIE
Moon- the pic is actually from last year after it's assembly at the summer place. We have since acquired it's side burner and it doesn't quite look as shiny and new as it does here, although it won't rust out like the last 4 rebuilds. That's a good thing! Boa-she's gone, you have the grill...sounds like you made out! T_G- NO DOUBT...EVERYTHING tastes better on a grille. I use mine for Thanksgiving dinner. 25lb GARLIC impregnated BIG BIRD sprinkled with rosemary in a LARGE foil covered deep roasting pan and in 3 hours' time the meat falls off of the bone, YUM. dndphishin-I'll have to give the recipe a go. When you get a chance, try mine with white wine vinegar, virgin olive oil and coarsely crushed black peppercorn. The longer it stays...the spicier it gets. Justin?-No trailer hitch? ROFLMAO! justin_tx_16
after looking, we have the 43ish inch model, the larger one is in my uncles show room (same uncle who has the custom cabinet company, helping with the Universit Horns... ). we also have one of those massive smokers (no, not Rosanne). I mean, come on! I live in Texas, you just gotta be able to roast a whole cow in one smoker my friends parents own a meat market. they have a 1700 square foot smoker.... mostly for jerky type food, but they do hams and turkeys in there to give them flavor before they are sold to be fully cooked. at our house in River Oaks we have one of those built in grills. I like that one a lot, except it is really close to our fountain in the atrium and if you leave the lid open and have something like hamburger buns toasting on the grill, the top of the buns gets soggy from the spray of the fountain, you would think we would have thought of that before having it intalled... Well, once again, we are Texans. hehe, joking of course. TEXANS RULE (I also like Illinois and California and North Carolina and New York and 45 other stats and Puerto Rico ) Note state hate in me... except montana... this guy there named Peter stole my identity and got the prizes I had won in an essay contest including a PDA and MP3 Player. It took over a year to prove that I was Justin Scott, but they did nothing (nor did I, stupid me) to Peter in Montana... is'nt that a federal offense? I would hope so. Wow, I must be the king of OT. Mike Lindsey
I have a Weber Genesis Silver B that gets a lot of use. I do everything on it including whole chickens (bought the Rotisserie attachment), fish (using the fryer attachment), ribs and everything in between. I love to take some red potatoes and cut them up, throw in some mushrooms, onions, green and red peppers, salt, pepper, butter and garlic, and wrap it up in tin foil and just throw it in the back of the grill. Turn it over once in a while and by the time the steaks are done, you've got yourself a meal. Mike

edwardre
At the Rex house, we grill 5 out of 7, rain, snow, or sun. This includes the T-Giving day bird, the Christmas prime rib roast and the Easter ham. The unit of choice continues to be the tried and true....some would say 'vintage' Weber Kettle. For large 'git togethers', we break out additional Webers. For exceptionally large groups, we bust out the Brinkman Pitmaster 2K. This is a sizeable unit kind of employing the '55 gallon drum on it's side' theory and works great for slow cooking and maintaining warmth. I want to build a smokehouse next. Anyone out there have a decent set of plans? Would like a walk-in sized smoker. ------------------ Ed
Q-Man
Since summer is almost here. You have to be kidding me. Much to hot down here for grilling now. That's a winter thing. It's been in the mid. 90's for sometime now. My pool water temp. is 85 degrees. it's like taking a bath. I hate summer down here. I can't wait for winter. justin_tx_16
i agree. in texas summer normally would have started a few months ago haha. but in houston it started about 3 days ago and i liked the cool spring we had earlier. at nights it is terrific, but during the day the air is so humid you could cut it with a knife and the heat so hot that it... well it is really hot heat glad we have a pool, i would be lost with out it. lucky me! i am flying to colorado this week and then a short day trip to chicago (my fav city in america!). i will also be able to go to california (sacramento). My parents are selling one of two houses on Green Haven Drive, wanna buy the other? haha. not really, i love that house. then i will go to the wine valley to my grandfathers cottage by the russian river. after that i should be going back to the cayman islands to help my uncle move into his new house. then back to houston... summer is too short. ------------------ -justin SoundWise Support A technical help site created by me and my fellow Klipschers I am an amateur, if it is professional; ProMedia help you want email Amy or call her @ 1-888-554-5665 or for an RA# 800-554-7724 ext 5 Klipsch Home Audio help you want, email support@klipsch.com or call @ 1-800-KLIPSCH RA# Fax Number=317-860-9140 / Parts Department Fax Number=317-860-9150s>
