Mallette
Hey Boxx...your sig line is particularly appropriate here. The Feds would have to send in the military to enforce Federal law in Colorado. I really don't think they are so inclined...and it isn't due to a sudden change of heart. Dave

derrickdj1
I hear Colorado is a good state to pickup some Klisch speakers. Maybe a road trip is in order. Maybe this Colorad thing is just blowing a lot of smoke, he he.

mungkiman
Doesn't Washington state get on the bandwagon too this year? I believe Washington dispensaries can currently only sell to Washington residents with medical marijuana cards.

Currently yes, but I thought I read somewhere that it was going to be similar to Colorado sometime this year.
oldenough
Though I would not use pot myself this should have come about a long time ago. The waste of tax payers money to wage a war against pot is the bigger crime, people will always find and use it regardless of the legal status. I would have preferred them to de-criminalize it, but that would be a matter of principle, as I see it as rather strange that we as a society rail against tobacco users, but would be willing to bring pot into the same category. At the end of the day I say "way to go".

Moderators dtel Posted January 2, 2014 Moderators Share Posted January 2, 2014 You have to be high to buy at legal Colorado prices.
oldenough
FYI, these moves are going to impact British Columbia in a big way, it is currently estimated that pot is a $4 Billion industry for them...and that estimate is on the low side. Mallette
You have to be high to buy at legal Colorado prices. Those prices won't last. Once the initial buzz wears off (as it were), there will be price wars. It's a weed. While many may pay "boutique" prices for hand-managed buds, most folks will be happy to have yer basic high off plain jane weed. As it spreads, the sub-100 dollar oz will be back. Plus, many are going to raise their own...free weed is the bestest kind. Dave
CECAA850
Plus, many are going to raise their own...free weed is the bestest kind. So growing your own is legal also? Seems that it's very regulated. I'd be surprised if home grown was allowed.
oldenough
I don't believe that the growers have the same legal status as the "pharmacies". So I guess home growing would still be a no-no...legally. Edited January 2, 2014 by oldenough
Mallette
I don't think it is legal to grow at home in CO...but will certainly be absurd for them to attempt to police with dope smell and smoke boiling out of every other house on a block. Further, once it settles in I rather doubt the citizens would support enforcement. Try to get a jury! Dave
