I feel sorry for the person renting that bowling shoe after you used it the other night.

Years ago, i kicked a spare bowling bag that i had at the house ... turns out there was a bowling ball in the bag and i broke the big toe.

Actually Carl ... i didn’t know you were a bowler.  I used to bowl regularly.  Best average i carried for an entire season was 207; but, most of that season was in the 210-213 range ... and i was only the third best on our five-person team.  Our anchorman averaged in the 230s and the next guy about 225.  I was better than the two ladies that were on the team though.

I cleaned it prior to turning it in.  I've only been bowling a couple years.   My wife and I bowl with my brother.  He's 74 y.o. and has rolled two 290s this season.   He's bowled all his life.  My best average was around 170 for a season.  I just go for fun and beer.

t wasn't all that bad..but I do feel your pain..

No way, I don't want to feel Carl's pain, or what you did your arm, the pain and healing is the problem which can be as bad as the accident.

Reminds me of what I told my son in law after he totaled his car driving crazy and had to have surgery. About 1 week after sergery as he sat in his wheelchair I shook the wheelchair a little and asked him if it still hurt and he said yes, I said good remember that when your driving.

That's true bowling alleys usually have draft beer, part of the reason my first game is usually my best, either way I suck at bowling.

back in my married days, joined a league with my bride. She said “i’m only here to have fun.”  I said, “Fun is when you destroy your opponent so bad that they hang their head in shame and never return to a bowling alley."

i stopped bowling in 2001 when the marriage went on the rocks...never picked it back up ... until my office had a bowling party right before Christmas. I did manage a 198 (open frame in the tenth).  Not sure if i can recapture the magic; but, it was fun.  I did learn that after jacking up my shoulders in that accident...i can bowl three games without pain.

Even under medication, that would be really bad, can't even imagine what that would be like.
