Tarheel Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Go ahead & buy them & put yourself outa misery. OK, so if I understand what you are saying, I should: 1. Buy the Cornwalls 2. Put myself out of my misery when I have come to understand what I have done. Any suggestions as to the best way to off myself? Well if you are hell bent on leaving us Earl the quickest method may be to turn up your Bose 901s really loud for 30 seconds but I suggest buying the CW IIIs and hanging around for a while 1 Quote

I am a closet Bosite. I too was once fooled by the dark force known as BOSE Marketing, I was saved by having ears. The Cornwalls are an outstanding offer, They are exactly what I hope to get for my system when my situation is resolved, for now I will just have to settle for the headphone rig Quote

Seriously, think of all the hours you will spend enjoying music. This time spent will prevent you from: 1) getting into any trouble that you might have if you leave the house 2) making other large purchases (i.e., expensive car, jewelry, clothes, etc..) 3) sleepless nights thinkng about "the ones that got away"..... When you look at it from this perspective, you almost have no choice but to buy them...... Shakey Edited March 24, 2014 by Shakeydeal Quote

Sancho Panza Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 IF you can't afford them, just now, let them go to someone else & be satisfied with what you have; which is, after all, very nice. 2 Quote
Shakeydeal Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Wow, I just noticed that you have Cornscalas. I can't imagine why you would even be interested in CW IIIs? Shakey Quote
eth2 Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Shakey, I was looking for speakers for a different part of the house. I had found two different sets that were older and not in as good a condition. My real dilemma was whether to spend less and get the older ones or to get these. I guess I am just thinking out loud and having fun, so I will be quiet now, as Sancho suggested. I do hope someone from the Forum gets these though as it seems like they are equivalent to a new pair. Quote
Shakeydeal Posted March 24, 2014 Posted March 24, 2014 Ok, understood. I was hoping you wouldn't think the CW III would outperform your current speakers. Shakey Quote
