Just wondering if replacing the SVS with these two would do the job instead of four SVS. Thanks for your replies
CECAA850
You have two 12+2's? Without looking at the specs, I can't imagine replacing them would come close to the output you have now. Those dual driver SVS's are beasts.

Those dual driver SVS's are beasts. I agree, they are great subs! I had a third but I recently sold it because I would like four that matched and the one I sold is textured finish. I keep thinking that I should wait until the room is enclosed before I decide if I need two more, I keep thinking that I should wait until the room is in closed before I decide if I need two more. But when I place a chair where the second row would be I do not get the same feeling I get in the front row . Then when I see Big Behemoths like these come up for a reasonable price it makes me wonder . What are your opinions Carl?

A mini DSP or some other sub PEQ will go a long way in getting the most performance out of your subs.

mxr dad
I likey. But I'd have to suspend it with wires about 7 ft in the air so I could see the passive do its thang! Wait a minute, a floating subwoofer........ I like that too! Ok, serious now. Does the passive work by reflecting off the floor? Or would it sound the same with nothing under it? Not that it matters, just curious.
timdog5000
I think I'll wait until the room is enclosed, and I get the second row in I will be building the platform same time I finish my walls and ceiling. After that if I feel I need to add atmos speakers and flying subwoofers ill worry about it at that time :-) Actually atmos is very low on my list at least until a few generations of bugs are worked out. Flying subwoofer would be nice though it could follow me around and accentuate my footsteps, brings a whole new level to uh oh here comes dad! timdog5000
When you coming my way?Im more and more curious to how those four 18s must sound. Especially since I have no reference point, I've never even heard 15's much less 18's. Four hours is really nothing to come over there and drool over your set up Scrappy. Just have not had a lot of time, too many things going on. Then when you do have some extra time I actually want to be able to go down there and enjoy what I have.
