boomer9911
I'm going to cry...why can't someone in Western Canada sell a pair like these so I can snag them....
jimjimbo
My thought(no scientific evidence) is that the use of 3M Scotchgard "might" render the grill cloth less acoustically transparent. Or not? Hey Bill, that's a very good thought, thanks for bringing that up. I'll see if I can find anything on it. Edit: My initial contact with 3M was less than stellar...according to the Customer Service Rep, they have not tested Scotchgard for acoustic transparency, which honestly I find hard to believe. I am attempting further contacts with deeper Tech Support. Edited August 11, 2015 by jimjimbo
jimjimbo
JUST FYI for everyone, here is the response I received from 3M Corp. regarding using Scotchgard Fabric Protector on speaker grill cloth, it's acoustic properties and transparency... Thank you for contacting 3M, where we Apply Science to Life; Scotchgard Protector. Unfortunately, none of our formulas should be used for this application. We do not have a recommendation for a product that you may use.
wstrickland1
Jim, did you watch/listen to the Partridge Family when you were young? If so do you remember that song "I'll meet you halfway (that's better than no way)"
jimjimbo
As much as I would "like" to do this.....we're talking 14 hours, at least, total in the vehicle....$150 in gas, probable hotel stay....yikes. Sorry.... I was always hot for Marcia.

wstrickland1
OK, this might put a damper on my birthday dinner at Sunburnwilly's restaurant but he will understand what with these being Belles and all. Will this weekend work? Plan would be to drive halfway or so (lol) Friday evening and the rest of the way Saturday, turn around and get halfway back or so and home Sunday......WHEW! CECAA850
How many miles on the bikes? Have they been garage kept? Does either have a bell? Pics???
jimjimbo
Probably less than 2 miles on the bikes. Always garaged, both have bells. No pics, as I have been told that there is a burgeoning market for Anna and Elsa porn. I don't question these kinds of things...... Wstrickland....sending you a PM in the next little while.
