Sprinter1104
Hey guys, so I pulled the trigger and bought a set of MCM 1900s from Miner Mark. Had a great time visiting Mark's man cave and seeing the progress on the restorationof of his MCM1900 stacks. Mark couldn't have been more helpful. After the tour, Mark and my Son in law helped me load both stacks in the Uhaul for the trip back to Susanville. I spent the next day vacuuming and cleaning the surface dust, dirt, cobwebs and general grime. Once done, in order to satisfy my generally impatient manner, I hooked em all up hoping all the drivers work. Bingo, no problems, all the divers are firing. My neighbors might be a little concerned. Anyway, so far I'm having loads of fun. Next step is to tear everything down, patch, fill and refinish.
Ceptorman
That sounds like a wonderful trip. Mark seems to be quite the character. It's nice to put a face to the screen name. Your speakers look to be in great shape, quite the setup. Congrats on your purchase…..nice car BTW

Sprinter1104
Thanks Ceptorman and BigStewMan, they both sound great too. This whole Klipsch thing started out wanting some tunes while working in the shop. Now I'm trying to figure out how to keep the cars out of the way so they don't interfere with the soundstage.

Ave Bona Cornwall
Agree, nice speakers and car. Hopefully those speakers will scratch the itch for a sound system in the garage! (that's a very neat and clean garage as well.)

Gotta watch that guy Yep, Mark says it's customary to pay for the dust upgrade. Something about proper frequency dispersion.
akdave
Well you've joined the "you've gotta be kidding me" club! Everyone's jaws will hit the floor when they see those in your garage. (HUGE!!) You may have said earlier, but what are you powering those with? Congrats!
Jim
That car caught my eye before the speakers. I sold a 41 Plymouth Rat Rod a year ago and kick myself in the a$$ for doing it now. Had the chopped top like yours also. Mine was Salmon though.

Thanks Yep, that was pretty much my wife's reaction. No way those things are going in the house. I tested them with an old yamaha receiver. Once I confirmed everything was in working order, I hooked them up to a set of VRD's. Plenty of power for the space I have them in (24x48). I'm a big fan of the Rat Rod concept, got pretty tired of everything billet. I hear you on regretting selling. Every time I think about doing that, I just know I'll regret it later.
