mustang guy
These turkish rosewood K's didn't last long at $3,800. https://community.klipsch.com/index.php?/topic/162816-brazilian-rosewood-klipschorn-cornerhorns/. I don't know if PWK signed them, but if he did, just how rare is that and is it worth anything to people who don't come here? Wouldn't it be cool if they offered that veneer still? It is prettier than the Aussy walnut on the 70th's.
Moderators dtel's wife Posted May 12, 2016 Moderators Share Posted May 12, 2016 Maybe someone should send him a message and suggest he post them here for sale! Never mind, I don't even want to see the drama that would cause!!!
DizRotus
I sent an email asking if the Belle is also rosewood and if there's an extra "0" in the price of the Khorns. I did not mention the forum.
Grizzog
I'm betting he really means the $15,000. Signed by PWK, people seem to think the sky's the limit. Personally, I would definitely pay more for a pair he signed, but not a ridiculous amount. I'd say they are worth more than a standard pair. mustang guy
If they are indeed perfect. That's the real key IMO. It could be a barn find. Imagine a pair of 41 yr old NOS K's with bookmatched turkish rosewood.
DizRotus
He might be serious about $15k, but, if so, he was naive to post his ad without photos. Also, IMO, he demonstrates that he does not know the market. Fifteen large is above market, even if they are still in the unopened boxes, IMO. mustang guy
With the older networks, they wouldn't sound as good, plus they would be tired. I gotta think maybe 8 grand NIB. It's uncharted territory.
Grizzog
Yes, I was thinking maybe $3-4K in great condition. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
DizRotus
The seller is a woman. She is not sure about the veneer on the Belle. She said pictures will be added this evening. No mention of whether an extra "0" is in the price for the Khorns.
mustang guy
Definitely $4k Grizdog. The one I linked to above sold for $3800 in 3 days and no PWK sig. Edited May 12, 2016 by mustang guy
DizRotus
I suspect the seller intended $15K as the price. At $1,500, if the rosewood looks as good as represented, the price is low. At $15K, it's high, IMO.
jason str
Probably won't sell at 15 grand but i guess the owner can ask for anything they want. Would be nice to see some detailed pictures considering the asking price.
