Shiva
I was cruising 6moons and landed on this speaker. seems to follow closely the design principles of form follows function. Well again, maybe not. http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews2/volya/1.html
Moderators dtel Posted February 7, 2017 Moderators Share Posted February 7, 2017 Very odd looking, if not covered in flowers but piano black it might have picked up a few more buyers ?
SiliconTi
OOOOOO... pretty..... dtel has a point - black may boost sales. Their web site sucks - I love pretty sites with no info or prices (not).

There are so many ridiculously priced speakers out there, I just not get it. Maybe I'm in the wrong tax bracket.

Ceptorman
Looks like a prop from a Stanley Kubrick movie.

pzannucci
Considering the driver compliment, if they invested as much in the crossover as they did in the enclosure, they probably do sound good. In their current incarnation, you have to close your eyes though.
Don Richard
These things look like some sort of psychedelic chiminea that someone put speakers in. Goofy looking for sure.
KenazFilan
If Baba Yaga had a sound system... These are a nice example of Ukrainian folk art if you like that sort of thing. If you read the 6moons article you'll see the painting is pretty labor-intensive so that helps explain the high cost. (I actually give Volya credit: I've seen many other $150k+ speakers that didn't look nearly so ... striking). I'd say they would look great in a Ukrainian peasant cottage, save for the fact that one could buy several Ukrainian peasant cottages with the money you'd spend on this speaker.
