BigStewMan Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 how are things in Australia? Getting ready for summer? Here in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, I don’t think i’ll see the sun for a few months. 2 Quote

BigStewMan Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 ah ... the famous Fillmore ... San Francisco was a hot bed of music back in the 60s. I’m from across the bay; but always loved The City. 3 1 Quote

We are very hot here with mid 30s Celsius and it’s still spring And bushfires are out of control at the moment But I just heard that I’m going to be a grandfather next year so that’s why I spun the King Crimson LP 4 Quote
BigStewMan Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 Congratulations my friend! Welcome to the club. I’m a 12 time member (and I’m only 59). I think most of my kids are done having kids. The youngest only has two so she may have another ... who knows. 2 1 Quote

guf Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 Well 2 months ago I had ZERO records. Some told me not to do it. Its been fun building a collection. If it didn't sound better than digital I would not be doing it. I'm not having much luck on the used front.... So I'm modifying my lifestyle to allow for a vinyl budget. 😯 dinner music... 6 Quote

JohnJ Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 @Full Range what you've posted the last couple of days is even more impressive when you showcase those hot-rodded LS. I've only heard stock ones and was blown away!! @guf nice tubes you've got there, know you're enjoying your LaScalas! My brother has been tight lipped about the crates of LPs, tried to meet him halfway to no avail. Maybe he'll borrow his in-laws big sedan to come up Thanksgiving, his toyota couldn't hold the kids and the records at the same time. Not wasting time on being excited anymore, patience is easier to maintain. 3 1 Quote

JohnJ Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Thanks for playing..... "Jeff - - - - - - from WBCY Jazz Flavors" well this band is about the closest to jazz I have since my Sanborn tapes got lifted by a so-in-so decades ago. Nothin' to get upset about... "Rock-a-rolla" here Probably one of them most listened to, talked about, pics posted of records of all times. And it deserves to be mentioned like that and more. 3 Quote
