Mr.2stroke
Hello, I'm new to this forum and thoroughly enjoying reading all of the great info. I'll try to cut to the chase here. Last year I replaced my 17 year old Yamaha HTR with a CA CXR 200. This, for me, was a huge upgrade. My main speakers are KSF 10.5s (Circa 1999). Ever since I got the CXR 200 I have been searching for replacements for the 10.5s and I am really liking the RF 7 III. My question is, will the RF 7 III be an upgrade that will "blow me away"? My setup is a modest 5.1 ch home theater. I use it 50/50 for movies and music. I appreciate your thoughts.
Ceptorman
I think it can blow you away, especially in the right room with the right power. It's a world class speaker that hits above their pay grade.
willland
@Mr.2stroke, Welcome to the forum. The RF-7IIIs are pretty darn impressive. An AVR like your CXR 200 with it's impressive power should supply plenty of grunt for the them in an average size room. Bill

artto
As far as I know you'll need a JBL L-100 and some Maxell cassette tape to do that.....................🙄

wuzzzer
The Synergy series that you have was Klipsch's lowest end line at the time, no offense. The RF-7 series has always been the flagship of the Reference series. You will be more than blown away.
MyOwn
My RF-7II, still blow me away...Did tubes with them, awesome results, currently Solid State, still awesome results...So here's the thing...look closely where your recordings are coming from. Mr.2stroke
Thanks for all of the great input. Now, how do I convince the wife that this is a good purchase? 😕
billybob
That is the easy part... she has a listen to her music...worse case scenario...good resale value...Welcome!

My bride was won over by Stairway to Heaven playing on some really beat up old La Scalas. Cincy
