jt1stcav
Oh man, that '70's vintage gear is just too much! It reminds me of my first all Technics system (25 WPC receiver with walnut cabinet, a 2-head cassette deck, and a belt drive 'table with an audio-technica cartridge). My dad had the very same 7" reel-to-reel (RT 707)...truely a wonderful deck. He made many live recordings using that deck and two Shure microphones. After 25 years, it finally gave up the ghost...wish I had it now. Wonder how hard it is to get replacement belts, pullies, and other transport mechanism parts for it today. Marvel
I've seen a bunch of those reel to reels on EBay. They go pretty cheap, if you want to go that route. Marvel

mobile homeless
Nice. Want to know the EASIEST way to improve your SUN 2A3? Ditch those Russian 6SN7. You will actually fall over backwards at the improvement between the Russuan 6SN7s and some GOOD NOS options from the likes of Sylvania, RCA, Brimar, etc. The difference will not be subtle. TAke a look here for options... http://home.earthlink.net/~mobile_homeless/6sn7/ kh
