the_highlander
"those are very nice amps" Prodj, can you tell me how they sound...I talked to the manufacturer and they said they'll arrange a setup for me to audition since they're located south of me...ahh, the magic of tubes... 3dzapper
All I want for Christmas is a 23X27' room off the south side of the house with vaulted cielings and log siding on the inside. The corners would be perfectly square and the heat pipes would be sub-floor. No baseboards. Alas Santa can't fit it in his bag. Like the Cubbies wait'til next year. TheEAR
Highlander, These VTL monoblocks are a sigtht to behold, must sound amazing too.Ah I prefer my "lesser" solid state Krell. Costs far less too Wow a Camry outdoes a F50 at someting, but in acceleration, cornering and just about any aspect you can measure the F50 smokes any Camry. A Camry has no personality,a boring car.The F50 is showstopper Heck I take ecen the oldest ferrari against any Toyota.

the_highlander
"These VTL monoblocks are a sigtht to behold, must sound amazing too.Ah I prefer my "lesser" solid state Krell. Costs far less too" excuse your arrogant, Ear...the Krells are not "lesser" and at $120,000 a pair (more then my Ivy), the Krell Master Reference Monoblocks are not exactly "far less" either... the VTL Siegfried Reference Monoblocks cost 2/3 less at $40,000 a pair...beside, I prefer tube over solid state for classical music... TheEAR
Highlander, Dear royalty Highlander,I did say "Ah I prefer my "lesser" solid state Krell." If you read well,a FPB600 reails for $12500US so it is in fact less expensive.I was not talking about your MRA's. Thank you Ah the rich and famous le champagne vous monte a la tete. mike stehr
Christ, two dozen 6550's for a pair of VTL Siegfried monoblocks?!! Reference Space Heaters...... Nice amps, though. Full logic computer controlled biasing (Constantly). Diagnostics for operating perameters. EDIT: I would guess the controlled biasing is done when no signal is present. Though I think they should throw in a curve tracer and free dibs on any fresh 6550's that roll-off the Russian tube factories, for life.
