Audio Flynn
It's an extremely difficult call for me, because we didn't have a way to sync the volume levels when switching between the SACD and TT. Neither was a poor performer; but the gain level difference was too much of a distraction to say for sure, they were very close. An the Heavy Weather LP was a Salvation Army used disc for a dollar. Mike Whell's Special edition Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon EMI vinyl Lp / Grado Gold /BlueBerry/ VRD setup was a very inspired replay of this classic. I am not sure what speakers were playing at the time I was having so much fun. Mike; Please let me know exactly what version that was so i can put it on my Christmas list. ---------------- Rick: It was an EMI Records release in 2003. It's pressed on 180 g vinyl. I'm not sure if this number is indicative of anything, but it could be the ID number of the disk: SHVL 804. Anyway, shouldn't be to hard to find. I bought my copy at Flat Black and Circular in our favorite city: East Lansing.

picky
Wow! it sounds like I missed a real good one, guys! I'm glad you all had a great time. It's very interesting to read your reviews. Thanks for sharing and please count me in if there is a future get together. The wedding we attended was a lot of fun. Our daughter was maid of honor. I wound up videotaping the entire event. I'm in edit-mode now.
dkp
It sounds like you guys had a great time. I too, wish that I could have attended. I'm going to have to get with Craig and hear some tube amps in the near future. By the way, no one mentioned the Cubans-any reviews? Allan Songer
I'd sure like to know WHAT IN THE HELL you right-wing Republicans were doing GIVING AID AND COMFORT TO THE ENEMY? The importation of Cuban goods is ILLEGAL! Oh, that's right--you guys PICK AND CHOOSE which laws to obey. What a bunch of stinking hypocrits . . . By the way, I always liked the Petit Coronas del Punch and the Bolivar Coronas Junior myself. Pretty amazing we are selling our souls to the Chinese and won't budge and inch with Cuba. I'll take Castro over the Chinese ANY day (he makes MUCH better cigars).

What a bunch of stinking hypocrits . . . +++++++++++++++ My ex Sandinista adopted brother keeps putting them in my briefcase. I am afraid to put them in the garbage for fear of getting caught. Slow incineration seems the best way to destroy the evidence. i like the Punch in the aluminum tube. And there is a 3/8 inch thick Cohiba that is nice. The big Cohibas are too much of a smoke, like the Monte Cristo # 2 it takes me sometimes 1.5 hours to smoke and then I am wired for about 6 hours. it is a 8-12 times per year habit; I figure Fidel needs the cash flow. kegman
Don't know if you guy's are still around or do anymore of these get togethers. But I'm in michigan (warren) and I'd like to attend one of these functions if I may. Got a few pieces of tube equipment to share with the group to test. Also recently I've setup my rc-7's as mains powered by a rogue 88 in triode mode and I'm extremely satisfied! some tube stuff I have would be 2 golden tube audio se-40's modded. 3 st-70's one modded with triode front end. various tube preamps and a tube cd buffer! Anyways that's me, New to tubes and klipsch about 2 years ago! I build speakers and like to mod things! Later!
Deang
Love your sig. These get-togethers happen a few times a year, but in different parts of the country. The Michigan guys are kind of tight, so they'll undoubtedly do another get-together when it warms up. I ran RC-7's as mains too, I think I may have been the first. Yeah, kick *** set up. Yes I've seen some of your posts with the rc-7's (I love em) Good to hear from yu!
