Moderators dtel Posted June 1, 2005 Moderators Share Posted June 1, 2005 Ocassionally I post under my husbands name. Should I get my own profile and user name, or just say I am dtel's wife or what? He says you guys should be able to tell the difference between my posts and his posts, because of the grammar and spelling...LOL. Probably should just get my own user name??
michael hurd
Doesn't really matter at all. You can post under whatever name you please. Klipsch has in the past asked people that had multiple usernames to get rid of one.
j-malotky
My wife told me that sometimes she logs on to the forum to read stuff. I'll have to ask her if she ever posts. JM
fini
Well, I imagine it's OK, as long as you don't mind a little "guy talk" (if you know what I mean).
Big Ears
I forced my wife to read posts to convince her that I was not alone in my quest for sonic nirvana.
scott0527
Well, anytime a female comes on the board, she usually gets an over abundance of help from all the guys on the board jumping at the chance to help the lone female. On the other hand, I think most of them get scared away but that over abundance of help.

Tom Adams
I'm not really sure it matters if you post under your husbands' user name or not. I mean....sometimes I post stuff based on my thoughts and sometimes I post based on what the voices tell me to write. Tom
ironwoods
Hey, this reminds me of the Seinfeld episode when Jerry meets his perfect companion.
Daddy Dee
I know a wife or two who post under their husband's name. It's fine. Also helpful to identify yourself as the wife when posting.
fastlane
I see from your husband's other post that you are both happy with your new Forte II's. I suggest an Academy center speaker for him for the perfect Father's Day gift. Whether you have children or not!
wheelman
You should get your own.

Cal Blacksmith
For me, just tell us it is you when posting soes I can tell the difference without bending my little brain out of shape. Besides, if you both post with the same username, you will double up on the post count

But its semi-annoying if you are using the same PC because you have to login and out each time you switch accounts. You could solve this problem by using 2 different browsers. The beauty of Schizophrenia is that you are never alone...But no matter how I have always posted, it has always been me. I guess the bottome line of advice for Dtel's wife is... boomer9911
why not carry your own ID, you read and post for yourself, you are an independent person...just my thought...
garymd
Only once did my wife read an entire thread. "1976 khorns FREE to A good home" I forced her to read it so she would believe me. The next morning the 2 of us took a road trip to Delaware. The rest is history.
jheis
Wife should post on her (your) own. It helps to get a different perspective on things. We do tend to get a bit myopic with our obsessions at times. The occassional dope slap may also be of benefit. James
