Jeff Matthews
Ah, Mr. Doppelganger, I presume! Okay, now why don't you post one from my collection? [] That doesn't ring a bell as being in my collection. You will be surprised to know I have no Pink Floyd and no Bob Dylan. I used to have "Wish You Were Here" on cassette. That was Floyd's best. colterphoto1
I just did, in fact this track is on the A side, I checked! You may have played the B side more often though, it was VERY popular.... How's that for a misguided hint? Okay, it is Pink Floyd, does that help anyone else? maxg
That one I know. It is on the Meddle album. Do I need to remember the title - 'cause I cant till I get home and look it up in my collection (of all the PF albums ever made - on vinyl - not that I am unduly proud of that fact or anything). Jeff Matthews
Max, my Mediterranean music mogul! [] I couldn't do it to you, so I will tell you that the Rules say it is fair game to look up a song using Google, so long as you do not search by lyrics. That means you can search for the album and start looking at all the lyrics. Go get 'em, post your answer, and give us the next challenge. EDIT: Are you there, Max? colterphoto1
It's San Tropez from the Meddle album. A little Dave Gilmour picnic in the park strumming tune. You're up Max!
maxg
OH right - thanks Jeff - thought no looking up was no looking up unless you ruled yourself out. Anyway it has become redundant as Michael has accepted my answer - apologies for the delay - I was on my way home from workl. Now - something from me - a bit easier than normal methinks: "....You're breaking my heart, You're shaking my confidence daily, Oh (title) I'm down on my knees, I'm begging you please....." colterphoto1
Ce-cil-i-a.....to the funky beat, can't name the artist though. late 70's lots of airplay..... Paul Simon maybe begging you please to come home oh oh ohohoh...oh oh ohohohohoho..oh ohoh Little help Max? Ok, I'm sure of it- here's the next one.. Your lovin' and affection Givin' me direction Like a guiding light to help me through a darkest hour Lately I'm a-prayin' That you'll always be a-stayin' beside me Michael
maxg
Close - 10 years and one Garfunkel out but other than that - acceptable. Yours I know too I think but I cannot place it yet. Might come to me - if no-one beats me to it. I have in mind a country beat - female vocalist.....Carly Simon?
colterphoto1
Max,it's a folksy tune, a dude with soft voice singing it, just keep repeating it, it'll come to you. VERY popular song in it's era. Michael

dbflash
I don't want to because I'll have to come up with another song. I would have to read al 50 pages to figure out a song that hasn't been posted yet. Max, heres a clue: Baby I wont chew. It seems like every girl I knew in HS had this band, Joni Mitchell, Dan Folgelberg (?) and Carol King. Danny
sputnik
Bread - Baby, I'm a Want You. I've been trying to stay away from this game for a while but I really hated that song. "Baby, I won't chew" makes more sense.

sputnik
It's not rock, but there is a drug reference.
