audiophile.1963
But ... why is so difficult to find pictures of new La Scala II? Beppe
Bill H.
Beppe, Go to the upper task bar. Click on news center, then click on photos, scrool down to heritage and click that. Then select the picture you want..........there are three of them.

Mike Lindsey
They look just like my 86 La Scala's which were originally Birch lacquer, and have been refinished in a nice Golden Oak. Mike
mungkiman
Does anyone know the dimensions of the riser? My '73 La Scalas came with risers, but I did get them used. They are matte black fir theater models type K-447. The doghouse door is on top, under the horn and crossover. Don't know if the risers are original or not, but from the construction techniques used, they were not DIY's. I like the La Scala II, but don't much care for the grills in the basshorn shown in 3dzappers 1st photo, even if it provides a higher WAF. My 2¢. 2¢ more: I think La Scalas look great with cane (or cloth) between the horn lenses and the motorboard. Nice and clean.
sunburnwilly
Rick Hey Rick , your top photo is a Shinall right ?
3dzapper
"Hey Rick , your top photo is a Shinall right ?" It came from the Klipsch Gallery? http://forums.klipsch.com/photos/the_klipsch_gallery/picture609949.aspx Rick
D-MAN
Well, that's a Shinall for sure. DM

formica
Hey Rick , your top photo is a Shinall right ? I made a similar comment when it was added to the gallery (note the logos on the units in the rear?)... I kinda like the styling more, and they can be easily mistaken for the real mcoy... unlike the BOSE that got posted as well.
SCOOTERDOG
I still like to know HTH Shinall can get away with copies of Klipsch heritage products. If I were Klipsch I certainly would be looking at ways to stop this.
John Pearlman
I suppose Klipsch doesn't feel threatened and for good reason. Most people interrested in buying a pair of new Klipsch speakers want the real McCoy and are willing to pay for it. As for the copying, Klipsch didn't bother Speakerlab so I suppose they were and still are comfortable with their reputation.
Daddy Dee
Shinall is alot smaller operation than Speakerlab, too. How many units could a one man shop turn out?
John Pearlman
I suppose if you had jigs for cutting and assembling everything you could probably turn out a pair with no finish in about a day. LaScalas are simple but Khorns and Belles will be different.
