gonzp
I heisted this joke from AudioKarma.org.[] A magician working a cruise ship despised the captains parrot. And the feeling was mutual. The parrot constantly gave away his tricks. Its in his pocket, the parrot would say, or Look under the table. One night, the ship went down, and the magician somehow managed to cling to a piece of floating wreckage. As the sun came up, he saw the parrot perched at the other end of the wreckage, glaring at him. This went on for three days and nights. Finally, the parrot said, I give up. Whatd you do with the ship?

Erik Mandaville
Jim: I wish I knew 1/10th of what your dad knows. You gather the parts for one of the designs you mentioned above, and I'll make it for when I'm off for the summer. Check for a PM: Erik
Erik Mandaville
Jim: Well, after five tries, I give up on the PM! Not much different from what I posted, but just wanted to make that offer as a sort of favor in return, okay? Erik
boomac
Subject: Parrot<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> A young man named John received a parrot as a gift. The parrot had a bad attitude and an even worse vocabulary. Every word out of the birds mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John tried and tried to change the birds attitude by consistently saying only polite words, playing soft music and anything else he could think of to clean up the birds vocabulary. Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The Parrot yelled back. John shook the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. John, in desperation, threw up his hand, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked and kicked and screamed. Then suddenly there was total quiet. Not a peep was heard for over a minute. Fearing that hed hurt the parrot, John quickly opened the door to the freezer. The parrot calmly stepped out onto Johns out stretched arms and said I believe I may have offended you with my rude language and actions. Im sincerely remorseful for my inappropriate transgressions and I fully intend to do everything I can to correct my rude and unforgivable behavior. John was stunned at the change in the birds attitude. As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird continued, May I ask what the turkey did? Mike Lindsey
Yeah... I know there are a few here who do not care for him, but there are far more people here who really do miss him. Come back Parrot... this place hasn't been the same without you.
oldtimer
There are times in every man's life when it becomes clear that life is too short to be confined to a chair in front of a keyboard simply for the amusement of others in the course of spouting opinions. When such a moment occurs this same man has to figure out just what else might occupy his time in the meantime whilst he has his flings with other portions of reality, perhaps including actually pursuing his avocation or even his vocation as the case may be. This could be the circumstance that the one we know as Parrot has come to realize. And of course if this is not the case then we all must give the one we know as Parrot a mighty salute whose nature can be imagined not only by the saluter, but also by the salutee, as long as imaginings are within our collective capabilities. Even he would admit that he was around first and foremost for his own amusement. I remember one time he recommended some nice piano records...
