rcarlton
Saw the 60th Anniversary K-horn being offered on E-bay. Shipping would be very steep.
Chicago_Pete
Was on the fence when I first seen the 60th, but I really like the look of those now.

The 60th Anniversary Edition Khorns are absolutely the most beautiful speakers I have ever seen. And no, Travis....not because of the diamonds!!!! colterphoto1
There are still several pairs of them in the USA, Hope Arkansas to be exact. It's not too late to own a piece of Klipsch history. And yes, they are very handsome and sound spectacular. I spent some time with a pair in our listening room just this week.
jtnfoley
The shipping will be steep? The starting id is steep at nearly 20,000 Euros! What is the cost of the brand new ones in Hope?
Zen Traveler
Yep. All I need is one more good reason to visit Amsterdam. I sure wouldn't purchase them at that price but maybe I can talk the wife into letting me go listen. [H] Dewey!
Timmikid
Texans coming to Amsterdam to listen to Klipschhorns??? Yeah right, I'd make up a better excuse for the wife! Something with the Van Gogh museum? Don't mention the red light district and if you get caught inhaling say you really thought coffeeshops were to get a cup of coffee. Daddy Dee
are they too big for carry-on? I did find it somewhat disconcerting that Europe was the market for these. Sad IMO that US dealers didn't jump on them. They are beauties and really are the ultimate Khorn. They are a huge IMO improvement over the 50th. Never did acquire a taste for that styling. Zen Traveler
Timmikid, I know where you are coming from. Insofar as the Wife is concerned--I purchased her wedding ring at Coster Diamonds near the Rijksmuseum and toured the Van Gogh Museum over 20 times and can always use that as an excuse. Truthfully, saying I was going to listen to K-horns that were over $20K would most definitely keep me off the plane. [:#]

Michael, did you ever get around to taking / posting an intimate photo shoot of a 60anv khorn? I'm really curious on the detailing... and how the top hat sits on the bottom (without a spacer?). Is the bass cabinet taller (1/2" or 3/4") to include the lowest "home plate"? ROb
Klipsched with Yamahas
For them, I'd sell my Cornwalls, AND my electronic gear. WORD: Payment plan (lol) The only way I see it is with POWERBALL, but with the dollar declining, foreign investors could really get a bargain on those units
Islander
60th anniversary Khorns are available in the US at $6500 each from Vann's. See http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/item/features/542999796 The dealer includes free shipping and charges no sales tax (maybe because they're in Montana?) Anybody anteing up for a pair of these beauties? $13,000 isn't that much for the Ultimate Klipsch! btw, I have seen shipping crates full of them in photos of Hope. They ARE Stateside and they ARE available!

colterphoto1
btw, they come boxed separately and loaded into a huge wooden crate. When you get the crate, keep the top of the pallet, it's made of 3/4" 7 ply void-free birch plywood- you can build a Heresy speaker cabinet out of the extra wood!
