oldbuckster
Wow, that's a loaded question ................ was, probably Joe Montana ................. is, tie Tom Brady, Peyton Manning ............. Loved Ken Stabler !!!!!!! Hey Bart, what was your choice ???????????
jacksonbart
I really liked Elway, but but for Dallas team perspective you gotta go with Aikman, but he had a really good team. I would like to overall say Montana or Marino but Fran Tarkenton could scramble. Its what makes it a difficult call, as if they had a great line, they could hang out in the pocket and probably could break a hole for a RB/FB to run. I would say Tarkenton (Staubach would be a distant #2) would be my choice. You don't need a guy who can throw it 90 yards, just a guy who can make plays and read a defense. Today I would take Brady with a great pass line otherwise take young Favre or a Romo.

oldbuckster
Staubach and Tarkington are good choices ................ that was back when Quarterbacks called their own plays .............. Joe Montana always played on GOOD teams, high school, College and Pro's, except maybe Kansas City ................... Being a Cowboy Fan , Troy is the man, the Cowboys blew when he first got there ..........
nomad02rider
I would say two that are stil active, Brady and Favre. Followed by Marino, Montana in the modern era.

Audible Nectar
The best now: Peyton Manning.....with a very close number 1A to Tom Brady. Best ever? I'll take Joe Montana.
customsteve01
Being a Cowboys fan I would have to say Staubach. I really think the game has changed alot since the old greats. I really miss the old players. They just seemed tougher in a way. And most of them were someone you could look up to and say I want to be like him. Now days I just shake my head at how the players act. Steve

I never realized how big a man he really was until I met him several years back. GO COLTS (scratch that) GO RAVENS

arfandbark
Who is/was the best NFL QB. Follow the thread. It's not about who you like or where you live. Dan Marino is my favorite, but I couldn't say he was/is the best. I wish he was, but that doesn't count. I'm staying with Joe Montana!
