Edgar
Is that e^(2*PI) or e^(i*PI)? I can't quite make it out in the picture. If it's e^(i*PI) then it equals -1, and the check is made out for two-tenths of one cent. Greg
jacksonbart
I laughed so hard, all the contents in my pocket protecter just fell on the lab floor, just missing the lighted bunsin buner on my lab counter top.

Edgar
I'd like to know the back story behind this. Was Verizon was sending him bills for 0.2¢?

rplace
I'd like to know the back story behind this. Was Verizon was sending him bills for 0.2¢? I listened to the original conversation this guy taped a while back. It is long, but very funny. People are idiots. Check this out. http://www.verizonmath.com/
BLSamuel
Did you hear the one about the constipated mathematician? Around 5th grade c 1973. ( [:$] Now if I could just recall the important things I forget as my head is full of all kinds of useless crapola like when I first heard rplace's joke, I'd be, well at least a bit less stupid. Maybe even would've been able to figure out the amount on the check, but that'd be doubtful without some serious review or at least remember where I put that Swiss bank account number I opened a couple of years back ....)
