  2. Thanks Man--Definitely got some relief. Thank God the specialist was able to take me in first thing this morning. He found a fourth root and when he drilled into the canal (or whatever it is he did) puss came gushing out. He said the infection was pretty bad and showed me on the X-rays…infection went from gum line all the way up to the sinus. He cleared everything out, packed it with some antibiotic and on Monday, i’ll go back for him to do the permanent seal. He said he hoped to save the crown--which i hope he did (forgot to ask) because this wiped out my insurance for the year and a crown would have to come out of pocket. Prescribed some narcotic pain killer and told me to be prepared to hurt; but, so far I’m fine. WAY less pain than i was in on Saturday. Thanks again. Well it's great news you got fixed up, i had to take the wife in this morning, she has been saying for weeks it's only going to cost a hundred or so this visit........$780 bucks later, with more Apps planned Well this wife is a keeper, so no big deal, now if i could just figure out what she has been eating for the last 10 years

  3. Wednesday July 1, 4:15am Went to wipe a little dust off my SVS SB13 Plus and something prompted me to press the DSP knob and no little indigo blue light display came on. Turned rocker switch off and then back on. Still no blue light. Unplugged and waited about 30 seconds and plugged back in to outlet. Still no blue light. Ran out of time before off to work so further diagnosing had to wait. Wednesday July 1, 3:30pm Played some music hoping the sub just needed a little voltage boost and still no blue light or sound. Wednesday July 1, 4:00pm Went to SVSound website and started online chat with Jeff. Described what sub was doing(nothing) and he had me try a reset. Nothing. Jeff then emailed me instructions how to do a "bump test" to rule out the woofer itself and preceded to do so. I unplugged +/- connections from amp and touched them to the +/- on a 9v battery. It bumped alright. Wednesday July 1, 4:30pm Chatted more with Jeff and he confirmed amp failure and said he needed me to email him my information and serial number of the SB13+. Wednesday July 1, 4:40pm I gave him my information including the serial number and also informed him that I was not the original owner but did buy it from the original owner in Jacksonville, Florida. Wednesday July 1, 4:45pm Jeff Selong emailed me right back informing me I would be getting an email with an RA# and said to look out for an email with a prepaid Fed Ex shipping label. Thursday July 2, 2:34pm Email with RA# arrived. Friday July 3, 9:34pm Email with shipping label arrived. Monday July 6, 9:30am Fed Ex picked up package to return to SVS Wednesday July 8, 11:30am Delivered to SVS in Girard, Ohio. Thursday July 9, 1:29pm New amp picked up at SVS by Fed Ex Tuesday July 14, 12:56pm Delivered new amp to my workplace. Tuesday July 14, 3:10pm SVS SB13 Plus has rejoined his stepbrother Revel B15, steptwins Klipsch RT-10d and RT-10d, in rocking out the house. Less than two week turnaround time. Total cost to Willland=============$00.00 Most of my correspondence was with Jeff Selong and he was incredible to deal with as well as the rest of the staff I dealt with. Besides building great subwoofers(and great speakers from what I hear), the customer service is second to none from my "limited" experience. Bill

  14. Kapsn, great idea for topic Started thinkin about it, then really tried to sort through it in my mind, "No Can Do" 40+ years of rockin and tryin to think into the Favs? Hell No. Your lookin at a guy that go's for just about everything except "RAP". And the wife feels the same to boot! A rough outline to follow: From Ricky Nelson to the yeah,Yeah,Yeahs. From Mischa Maisky to AC/DC. From Chubby Checker to Patsy Cline. From Mozart to Gaelic Storm. My Latest is a chick that plays some of the best Pipe Organs in the world, and in her honor will post my Fav crankin tune. https://youtu.be/46SWrxVgElo All played at a level that would make PWK Proud. 23. Well, I guess to be fair, she did go on a 300 mile rounder with me to Jacksonville a couple of years ago for a CL deal. Next time she starts rapping about work around here, I will take her for a ride along the coast, or farther. Hope she never reads this! Listen to her, ask her even, what she wants, then find it on the CL 300 miles away, total excuse for a great road trip.

  24. I'm going to pick them up. I had posted in the "What I Got Today" thread that on July 4th I picked up some matching oil walnut Forte IIs, so I have matching side and rear surrounds. Currently, I have a lighter birch finished set of LaScalas as my main fronts and an Oak Academy center. I've been trying to sell speakers and had no intentions of buying more, but as these opportunities to have matching walnut speakers come up, I keep digging myself into a bigger hole. But what was that Billy Crystal SNL skit Fernando quote - "It's better to look good than to feel good". I will likely have the LaScalas up for sale in a couple weeks. And I have a black Academy and the KPT904 on CL now. I may be adding Cornwalls and Heresys to the sale list in a couple weeks as well.

  26. So YOU were the one who sent that Dam thing Well it's obvious whoever you sent it to did not get it, must have been stolden off CeCs doorstep. Also whoever did fire that Dam thing up last month is NOT using the adapter i built for it, remember the east coast and internet was blown away for the better part of 4 hours last month? Only a matter of time till this thing shows up on someones countertop. Next time your lights flicker, you know someone, somewhere is, well, Toast. I'm certain oldtimer is involved somehow.

  27. Mornin' all. Sunny day here and plan to work on our roses. Steve .. good to hear you're on the mend. Paying for dental insurance is a ***** and the coverage is usually about half the fee, but it's been worth it the past few years. Aside from my regular dentist's substantial bills, I've had to use a specialist twice and was well rewarded for paying the premiums. Happy Tuesday guys.

  29. Day 4. Sheetrock cut out in down stairs ceiling and sub flooring cut out upstairs to expose copper pipes. Sub flooring cut out and replaced in laundry room. Moving onto to remove and replace portion of sub flooring leading to back door. Fishing last tonight and tonight for our dinner on Wednesdsy night. Everyone came to the lake house and fished off the porch. In true Rodney fashion we had everything we needed. Crickets, worms, live minnows and enough gear to fill up a tackle box for ten or more people. Caught about thirty perch. Two side notes, there doesn't appear to be any traces of mice inhabiting lake house, possibly because it's built entirely over water, or possibly snakes take care of the problem, although I haven't seen any. Seems I'm easily distracted by shiny things! Was headed downstairs about four o'clock the other morning, security light flashed on and I managed to fall down the last five stairs. Laid there couple of minutes, moving one extremity at a time to make sure nothing was broken. Escaped with several nasty bruises. Scared the crap out of Elden and I both. First cup in hand....seems no one is an early riser around here!

  34. One year, someone gave me a Mason Jar of 'Shine for Christmas. I was SINGLE, so rarely drank. Poured the contents into an old rum bottle. About 6 months later I smell liquor in the cabinet. Open the door & found out the 'Shine had burst the bottle...

  37. Wow, like the ability to SS and tube. Looks like a keeper there Mark. Well good! Knew it was your intentions ASAP. Maybe the crown was saved. I would call to find out, if you want. Sometime valuables end up in the trash, maybe this did not. Yes, when out of pain as much, almost a sense of euphoria comes over, wiping out any questions. Have had the side of my face swollen from a tooth where, dentist would not see me for at least 5 days giving antibiotic time to bring swelling down before removal or save. Fortunately this dentist had no such compunction, which is good for you. When the pain is like an unbearable 9 on the pain scale. a 2 or 3 is so much more tolerable, it is such a relief, it almost feels like a one. Bet a pain pill now, will actually work and give you rest. And pain pills are medicine if she is in pain. You got that right. That is what it is for. Cannot stand to see people in pain. Yes, wish Nancy was up for a roadtrip at the drop of a hat. May keep her anyway. Erin has always been up for road trips to anywhere, but driving 400+ miles for a motel & petting zoo kind of got old. Brilliant idea some years back! Hey babe, how-a-bout we go to Monterey this weekend? There is a guy on the CL that has the speakers for "Your System" you have always wanted. >Build hers FIRST !< hell sometimes when looking at the bank acct after a road trip, i wish i had someone around to ****** slap me.

Root canal re-retreatment was $1,487 -- i only had to pay $165 of it; but, that wiped out the insurance for the year and there is more work to do. I will have to start up my military retiree dental coverage, which will cost me $49 per month. After this past weekend, I’m not putting dental work off any longer.

Grape tomatoes for salads, Romas for sauce and Better Boys for sandwiches. One slice covers a piece of bread. If you like Grilled cheese, try a thin slice of tomatoe and a thin slice of onion on it, prepare as usual. UUMMM hard to beat. Big D

  42. Good idea! She already has my Chorus Tell her her speaker(s) will "Come Alive" with this new Amp you found on the CL, there is just a little road trip involved babe. I focus on what she wants first, i set her system up first (years ago), since i finished off the wifes system w/Khorns, anything/anywhere i want, her only response is when do we leave? my wife just makes it too easy for me. Last senerio convinced me "I WILL BE MY OWN UNDOING" I imagian a guy (me), goes up to the wife and says, hey babe, i found some speakers in St Louis, and i want them, it's only a 4300 mile road trip, it will take 12 days, cost 2K for speakers, $700 for trailer, and a couple grand for expenses. The wife say's > When do we leave ?
